On a rare day out for us we visited Yorkshire Lavender last week. It's a glorious place to sit and relax with a coffee and a favourite cake. Mine was their lavender scone with lashings of cream and jam! What's your favourite cake?

We visited Howsham Mill Heritage Trust near Malton one Sunday afternoon recently and it was a magical place with fantastic tour guides to explain how the Mill came to be as it is today. We highly recommend this for our guests as an alternative Sunday suggestion of what to do in the area.

What a fabulous addition for Scarborough our guests will love this and we now have a new place to visit and source retro sweets for our guests’ pantry

Howsham Mill near Malton (only open on Sundays) is a magical place to explore for a sunny Sunday afternoon meander with lots to learn about this watermill.

South Cliff Gardens is just a five minute stroll away from our bed and breakfast and is such a peaceful area of Scarborough. The gardens are looking glorious too.

We popped into this coffee shop in town for a break last week and the food and service is so good. It's always great to find new recommendations for our guests.

We wanted to capture some images of the water at Mallyan Spout for you and some walkers on their way back up the hill

The stunning scenery of Byland Abbey in Coxwold is a real history buff's adventure with so much to explore. We loved it and would highly recommend a visit for our guests.

We visited Mallyan Spout at Goathland a few days ago - looking glorious as always! 😀
