Hello Yorkshire!
We're a small group based in and around York, that is horrified by the current conflict in Ukraine. We've been inspired by the bravery of the Ukrainian people since the beginning of this despicable invasion, and moved by their suffering. We want to do something about it, and we hope there are other people out there who will too!
We plan to drive to the Polish/Ukrainian border with a minibus/van load of emergency supplies like nappies, baby wipes, baby formula, baby food, toiletries, basic medical supplies, blankets, sleeping bags, water and long-life/non-perishable food items.
We're therefore asking local communities and businesses for contributions of these goods, or of the funds for us to purchase them. You can find our JustGiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/yorkshire-aid-for-ukraine
If you or your business are in a position to be able to lend/rent or donate the use of a vehicle for the duration of the journey, please get in touch, this represents the biggest cost to us.
