Jonah's Wail

At the end of August we played at the Sevenoaks bandstand as part of the Sevenoaks Council's Summer On The Vine. We were blessed with a beautiful evening and it was a lot of fun to play too!

It's on today 6pm to 8pm at the Sevenoaks Vine Bandstand TN13 3UH, hope to see you there!

We're playing the Widstock Festival in West Malling on Saturday the 31st August. The organisers have arranged an amazing family day with food stalls, licensed cocktail bar, Bouncy castles, soft play area, rodeo sheep (yes you read that right!), popcorn, candy floss, ice cream, mini golf, face painting, games and of course live music from Jonah's Wail and also the Chilli Crockers band.

We had a rehearsal on Monday and the band is sounding great, it’s always fascinating how the overall sound seems to be more than the sum of the parts.

This summer Jonah’s Wail have a few public gigs, so we thought we’d share them with you as it would be great to see you there!

Thursday 29th August Sevenoaks Bandstand next to the cricket green 6-8pm

Some of these gigs will have food stalls and drinks available nearby too.

We played a really fun gig a couple of weeks ago for CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) 100 years celebration, a great charity organisation with lovely folk working their too.

They also had pizzas, hog roast and an ice cream van ...what's not to like!

We also got some lovely feedback:

Great gig last night for Matt & Anna's wedding and a superb venue with the most stunning view St Julians Club. It was a real pleasure to play for them!

Great gig last weekend at Kingshill, a family party ...and they definitely knew how to, great fun! Thanks for having us!

A huge thank you to everyone that came and supported our fundraiser gig at the Old Auction House in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. We have our final total for the Hootenanny and we raised £1148.20! Our Sax player Paul is also going to do the London Marathon in aid of MSS so added in with that we will raise even more for them. Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported the event, a great night and a lot of fun!
