T R Sutcliffe Plastering Services Sheffield Plasterers this week have been really busy in Sheffield in Abbeydale.

A full re plaster of a bedroom, hacking off tired old sand and cement, re boarding the walls and overboarding the ceiling.

Much needed rest after that one!

This week I've been out with fever and cold 🤧
But at the start of the week I completed an introduction to fibrous plastering day course at the Keith Langton Workshop! Was a great look into the traditional fibrous world!

Peeling paint? Holes in ceiling? Dusty background? Stabilizing solution to the rescue!

The paint had failed due to a limewash coating on the ceiling and a mist coat not been applied as well so the paint was coming away in sheets, watch the video to find out how we dealt with it!

A little bathroom I plastered today for Greens bathrooms, a bathroom company in Sheffield. The bare plasterboard parts are going to be tiled floor to ceiling 👍

Being tall is considered a bonus as a plasterer, but not when you're plastering inside a bloody airing cupboard!
Here's what we've been up to last week. A ceiling and a small cubby hole where a boiler once was. Struggled getting myself in there! It was horrible in the heat 🤯 just needs a proper floor in there now. A lovely customer called Navid, 3rd return job with him, good customers make a job a thousand times better 👍

Last few days I've been doing a thin coat render system, Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Silicone Enhanced Render 1.5mm, was a killer in this weather 🤯

Some rendering I did this week, with render board attached to the metal lintel and edges overlaid with EML for added strength, came out quite lovely 👍 was a warm one 🫠

Something a little different this week.... Coloured silicone render by K - rend, with a scraped texture...bloody arms gonna fall off after scraping all morning 😯

Did some traditional float and set this week on a few walls! The old way is the best 👊

Something a little different this week, my first rendering job, currently sat waiting for it to pull in before I rub the render up, on the wall not pictured 🥱 tired now! But I've enjoyed the process and can't wait to do more! Onwards and upwards 👍

Few little things I've been up to at the weekend, revamping some walls and ceilings in a property, lovely and smooth 👍

Today I have rendered a small bit behind a fireplace where the customer is putting some tiles on and needed leveling out...also put some coving right..the coving size for the rest of the room was 150mm but could only get 127mm so built it up and made good to fit with the rest of the room. Also, a little pantry that I plastered the other day, had a nightmare getting the original shelfs out that were stuck in the wall and rendered in!!! 😫 wires everywhere 😫 got there in the end 👊

A few ceilings I've done this week, also boarded up a doorway, lovely customers always makes a job easier! Enjoy your weekends 👍
