This was one hell of a project for a young man that needed it more than anyone after been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
The family had it recovered to us to build and tune his car they way it should have from day one.
We spent alot on parts, alot of time in labour
And there was parts supplied by the customer making sure it was near as perfect as possible.
We replaced the following and fitted uprated parts
Head gasket set, head skim, CGA4 cams, new gaskets, radiator, silicone hoses, coolant, oil and filter, injectors,255lph fuel pump with RR fuel regulator and adaptor, 1.5mm spacer plate, new silicone breather hoses and catch can, new plugs
This a small list before tuning and what an animal this little CG10 has be come.
We then had an open day with a BBQ to hand over the car and wow what a turn out it was

Fiat 500 came to us for a new cambelt and water pump and a coolant flush plus oil and filter, while we had it we found it had an exhaust blow.
We found the manifold gasket was blowing due to broken studs we replaced all 8x studs and nuts with uprated parts along with a new gasket now sounding alot better and driving lovely

VW transporter T5 with an on going issue of not starting and throttle pedal not responding.
The vehicle was taken to another garage for this issue they fitted a new accelerator pedal,egr and TVA and still having issues so it was brought to us.
We checked for fault codes and then checked live data finding very strange readings. we started by testing the wiring from the pedal to the ECU and getting high resistance.
Removed the ECU and found water damage about of soldering and cleaning the customer was able to make his event.

Sorry for lack of updates it's been very busy and now running two units is chaos 😔
Here we have an Audi Q7 3.0tdi for an engine swap due to diagnosing no compression on cylinder 3.
Another engine was sourced and fitted after multiple companies told our new customer it was the injectors at fault or no fault codes stored.
Returned to the customer running perfectly now

Some more from today
Renault trafic III (ecu pic) been to for different garages with a speed limiter set at 62mph and adblue issues we got this sorted in no time
Audi A3 in for rear discs, pads and a front anti roll bar link as had horrible brake beat and knocking
Next was another audi A3 for swirl flap delete as it had been suffering juddering on idle and horrendous mpg we also found half a coin wedged in the egr (this could of ended badly)

After months of been through hell and back WE ARE BACK.
Its been a stressful 6+ months we have fought through thick and thin here's some bits we have been upto plus the new garage
2020 ford focus 1.5tdci for a stage 1
BMW 330 for a coolant leak
Citroen relay with an egr cooler fault and smoking
Another citroen Relay for a coolant loss and fluctuating temperature gauge more post to follow

Passat 2.0 tdi came in with a rattling noise and very underpowered we diagnosed the aircon compressor clutch had failed
new unit fitted, regassed no more rattling and ice cold a/c
The next fault was P0299 turbo underboost checking live data we found the DPF pressure was over 1000hpa and 18g of soot
We carried out a stage 1 with egr and dpf solution car is back to full power

Had a very good friends vw caddy in for a pd130 engine conversion due to the old engine suffering from low oil pressure destroying the engine
This has been alot work and head scratching but is now back together and with our customer. The list of new parts is endless including fabrication and modifying the engine/parts its been tiring

Its been a while and a manic few months there's been alot of changes but me and DLH Performance have worked non stop to keep our amazing customers old and new on the road
From evos to capris there isn't much we cant do please get intouch for anything your car needs

Pic 1 Audi A4 for a full service and VHC

Pic 2 and 3 Audi A1 came in over heating and for a full service the water pump bearing had failed causing the pump to destroy itself

Pic 4 renault megane with a loss of coolant and occasionally over heating we found the thermostat housing seal had failed replaced the housing and thermostat now back to normal we also MOT'd and carried out the work that needed doing to pass its test

Pic 5 Peugeot Partner for a full service, stage 1 remap and adblue solution

VW Transporter came for a stage 1 remap while we had the vehicle in with fitted the customers stereo along with reverse camera and a few extra goodies

We are now closed until the 28th of December

Vauxhall astra for front and rear brake pads also an o/s/r light unit

VW Tiguan for an eco remap and EGR solution after an ongoing issue going into limp

Seat Leon 1.8 tfsi 180bhp for a stage 1 customer couldn't keep it under control after the road test

1L ecoboost for a new engine due to the old one missing a few services this caused the belt to break down and block the oil pump after covering only 64k miles
Customer supplied a second hand engine and turbo after swapping a few parts and replacing some old parts with new also a full service it was back up and running
We replaced part of the exhaust and flexi with an uprated stainless steel section

Audi Q5 2.0 tdi came in running rough and very under powered after a quick diagnostic we found the lambda had failed and the swirl flap motor was not functioning correctly we carried out
Full service including all filters and oil
Swirl flap removal, egr blanked and software solution
New bosch lambda sensor as the old one was giving false readings
Customer said its gone from 18mpg to 32mpg around town

Vauxhall vivaro came in under powered and heavy smoking a quick diagnostic found the turbo had failed
We fitted a new turbo and oil feed pipe
Full service plus carried out one of our stage 1 egr and dpf solution customer back on the road within a couple of days

We will be closed from Friday 25th to the 30th of November For a small holiday break

Seat cupra 1.8T 225bhp came in for a list of work the main one been a loss of power since the new turbo was fitted at another garage (see pic 2)
We did the following work while it was in
Reconditioned steering rack
MLS turbo and downpipe gaskets and replaced the bolts due to them been loose and one missing
New radiator
Uprated gates Cambelt, water pump, idler and tensioner
Cam and crank seal
Vac simplification
New battery
Rocker cover gasket
Stage 1 Remap with secondary lambda off
New thermostat and housing
Fresh G12 coolant and Power steering fluid
Fitted the intercooler correctly
Returned to the customer and he said he smiled all the way home but it does use more fuel 😂 I'm guessing he likes the new power abit too much 😈

Had this Ford Kuga 2.0tdci recovered into us from ford with a broken Cambelt, they told the customer it was unrepairable and needed a new engine at £9,000
This had been partially stripped with plenty of bits broken and the engine partially covered with a seat cover letting over 7 litres of water into the engine
We replaced
16x rocker arms
both camshafts
multiple gaskets and seals
Cambelt kit and water pump
Oil filter and 6litres of 5w30 c3
New fuel return lines
Plenty of nuts, bolts and washers
Fresh red antifreeze
This customer was over the moon to have her car back and costing alot less than ford had quoted

Another car from another garage came in as a non runner
This mg3 came as a non runner and had been sat for 19 months like this
After a quick diag we found the timing chain needed replacing we ordered a genuine uprated timing chain kit, gaskets/seals , timing cover, timing tool plus a genuine oil filter and oil
Returned to the customer better than ever now with plenty more miles under the bonnet

Land Rover for some diablo basic maintenance
This included our full service all fluids and filters
Customer asked if we could adjust the handbrake and check their work to make sure everything was OK

Audi A3 2.0 CR170 for dpf and egr solution after constant limp mode making the car barely driveable
Returned to the customer their very happy the car is back to its former power

2 ecus supplied to us first was an insignia edc17c59 for stage 1 dpf and egr software solution
Second was vauxhall edc17c49 egr and dpf software solution with immo off both sorted and returned to the customers

2 upper arms on the n/s/f
Engine management light on simple egr issue also an oil and filter change d

Two brothers with new and old vitos both for stage 1s
The newer Vito also had an adblue solution next day I got a phone there both very happy with the transformation and will want me back to do their work vans

Ford transit connect for a stage 1 and egr solution customer is very happy with transformation

Well this was something very different and very rare. our customer has owned this for over 18 years
This was an absolute privilege to work on
We carried out quite abit of work on this car including a full underbody inspection, clean and underseal including interior and exterior clean
Reweld the cat due to snapping on the 24 year old weld
Oil and filter change, spark plugs plus checkover the ignition leads dizzy cap and rotor arm
Gearbox oil check and top up
New cv boot on the o/s, replace broken bolt and nut plus alot more
Customer is over the moon and has used the car today reports its better than new

Apologies to anyone who has tried to contact us over the weekend but due to personal issues I had to close. There is going to be some changes taking place

First change is our contact times are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday Saturday 9am to 4pm Sunday CLOSED. This includes through the business page (not my personal i will no longer reply), phone calls and texts are the same 9am to 6pm sundays Closed I will return calls and messages as soon as I can due to me been on my own its hard to balance work, admin and family life

Second change is any work is to be booked in when I have availability I get to many customers telling me what day they want and not what I have available.
If the vehicle is in for a big repair it will now need to be left with us its not nice been watched and can be very distracting also cannot guarantee parts coming the same day

Third change is our pricing this will be going up due to increase of the price of parts, overheads and the cost of living I also have a family and need to provide for them
There will also be a charge for a call out mobile jobs and breakdowns I too have to pay for fuel and travel costs
There is a charge for diagnostics as so many believe it should be free i had to buy the tools and software plus my time

Porsche cayenne came in as a non runner/partially running after checking for fault codes there was a few for fuel trim lean
Checked the fuel pressure and was seriously low after removing the fuel pumps
We found a seriously clogged fuel filter, metal particles in the housing and fuel that no longer identified as fuel
Replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel pressure reg (intank) and 6x spark plugs as there was an intermittent miss
less than 48hours of having the car fixed it was returned to the customer

Bit of a classic MG ZR
Customer had thought the clutch had failed and supplied a new clutch after investigating the clutch issue we found the clutch cable Adjuster had snapped
Replaced the clutch cable
Charged the battery and gave it a checkover we returned to customer absolutely over the moon he had his pride and joy back
