Mostly Mental Health First Aid training - expert trainer, accessible venues.
Being truly listened to can change everything. The most important skill you'll learn on a Mental Health First Aid course is listening - because more often than not, that's what can empower someone experiencing Mental Health difficulties to connect with the best help for them.

More great feedback for our trainer Catherine Kennedy - what's great about the comment here is the idea that an MHFA course is a beginning, not a destination. This delegate will certainly go from strength to strengthšŖas they use their skills to support others.
(Comment for visually impaired peeps: just to say I put 'confident' in the last section knowing this will increase once I've had an opportunity to put these things into practice. Once I've had some practical experience supporting someone, that will adjust to 'very confident'. Thank you very much for a great couple of days :)

Good for grown-ups too!
Teaching children how to navigate and move through their emotions is a LIFE skillāit teaches them how to build RESILIENCE! Helping them understand those emotions and analyze them will give them the space to learn from the anxiety.
Let's teach them how to move through their emotions, which is a way to empower them to express themselves in healthy ways.
It will help them recognize that itās a process their emotions are a journey of exploration.
Hopefully, this gives you a good visual about the process and will help you give them a tangible way to move through their emotions.
Every young person should have someone like this.
