Who calls the shots?
You, or your money?
As a bookkeeper, I like to feel I have the power in the expenses vs cash flow relationship, but I understand how itās easier said than done.
As a business owner, sometimes there are costs that simply have to be covered.
And then you get those months.
But Iāve turned things around for clients. When they see:
- That cost they can stop incurring
- That way to save
- That way to earn more
- That way to focus on more profitable activities
Because for you it can be emotional
Money.
But for me, itās just numbers.
And that means I have the power to get you back in control.

10 steps for a smooth month end.
As the month draws to a close, youāll want to bring your accounts up to date. Hereās a simple checklist to ensure your monthly accounts closing is efficient and accurate:
1. Go through all bank and credit card statements.
2. Ensure all transactions are recorded and categorised correctly.
3. Send out any pending invoices.
4. Follow up on overdue payments to keep your cash flow healthy.
5. Record all expenses, no matter how small.
6. Review expenses to identify any unnecessary spending.
7. Run payroll and post your payroll journal.
8. Review your financial statements.
9. Save for tax.
10. Set goals for next month.
Do you do these every month?
I know 10 is meaningless without 1-9 and Iād love to help you take control of your accounts starting today.

Hereās how I can make you more money this month.
But first, a question: How much can you sell in a day focused solely on selling?
How long does your bookkeeping take each month?
If you work with me and spend the time on selling instead of bookkeeping, youāll be Ā£Ā£Ā£ up each month.
Sound like a plan?
Iām on board with that too.

Are you making these three mistakes?
Donāt worry, Iāve got the solutions.
As a bookkeeper, Iāve seen it all but these three minor but impactful mistakes come up all the time.
- [ ] Bank reconciliations
I frequently meet business owners who donāt compare their bank balance in their software to the bank statements. Seems minor, but transactions can be ālostā without this simple check.
- [ ] Purchases on personal bank accounts
Did you buy the sellotape or the coffee on your personal card again? From missing out in VAT that can be reclaimed to truly understanding your expenses, using your personal card is a no-no.
- [ ] Not chasing aged debt
People owe you money, and I get it, chasing it up is hard, but did you know the average business has Ā£20,000 outstanding to them. Can you afford to not have that Ā£20,000?
I help my clients keep accurate financial records so they can really understand their businesses and make more money. Do you want my eyes in your business?

I can make you money. Hereās how.
As a bookkeeper, you probably think of me as somebody who saves you a job you hate, makes sure you get things right and keeps you organisedā¦.. but costs you money.
I get it.
Youāre a business owner.
You need to make money.
Itās why you run your business.
But imagine if having a bookkeeper rather than being a cost, was an investment that made you more money?
Here are 5 ways I help.
- [ ] Managing cash flow so you donāt pay anybody a moment sooner than you have to and more money sits in your bank account for more time.
- [ ] Forecasting for the future so you can make the right decisions at the right time when it comes to your funds.
- [ ] Showing you where costs are rising so you can renegotiate with suppliers to raise your prices.
- [ ] Highlighting what does and doesnāt make money in your business so you can focus on the projects with the highest margins.
- [ ] Freeing up your time so you can do the things youāre best at - making money!
Investing in a professional bookkeeper isnāt an expense; itās an investment in the future of your business.
