I always forget what I planted, and every summer I get a pleasant surprise 😂 These beauties are in full flower at the minute - I think they’re called aquilegia 💐

Who remembers those etching sets where you scratched off the black to reveal the rainbow colour underneath? 🌈 My daughter spent the afternoon using it to make a card for her teacher…I might have to pinch some to do some scribbling after she’s gone to bed 😆

💛 I’ve been experimenting with some glass gilding 😃 This is 18 carat lemon gold, reverse gilded on glass. It’s been a really fun learning experience! So far I’ve learnt that painting a letter in reverse is really hard 🤣

Posted • Lauren] Half way through this rainy old week seems I spent the only sunny day “Monday” cleaning the house after the half term trashing.

Had a silly mum moment earlier whist driving I pulled in and gave way to an oncomer who seemed to be waiting for me… so I drove past waved thanks only to realise I’d been giving way to a parked and empty static van! What a Tw*t! Haha!

My lovely pink door number was kindly sent to me by the talented Cathy couldn’t be happier matches my door perfectly and it’s made with actual gold YES actual 23.5 carat so will never fade or tarnish what’s not to love!💗

My “studio” - featuring scruffy yoghurt pots, lollipop stick paint stirrers, and a Lego boat 🤷‍♀️ This morning the sun’s shining and I’m painting base coats while listening to . It’s a good day ❤️ I love a good podcast - anyone got any recommendations?
