A Floor Tom drum plant pot I’ve been working on for a little while💁🏼‍♀️

I bought this Tom Tom drum from Facebook Marketplace to make into this plant pot.

I stripped it, cleaned it, sanded it, stained it, painted it and reassembled it. I then cut and added a platform inside to hold this lush Areca Palm plant 🌿🍃🪴

So much work but I’m so happy with how it turned out 😋

I’ve been absolutely loving using my Sakura Micron Fineliners recently, so decided to try a larger drawing & combine it with my acrylic paints😋

First time using Bristol board and these fineliner ink pens, but they’re such a good combination. I’ve used 9000 graphite pencils for some additional shading😁

Things have been super busy, but here’s one of my most recent commissions for a suprise 30th!

A starry background was requested and I think it was the perfect choice since the fur is so light✨☺️🐶

I think this will be my last commission for a while! I have had a few people ask, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll offer any for Christmas either this year, as I just don’t have the time at the minute x

My first time pressing some flowers but definitely not the last time because I absolutely loved creating these!😄

So glad I changed the background to a bold blue, the grey completely washed out the painting. White fur is definitely the most difficult colour to paint 😅

Trying out a kind of new media; I bought these pencils probably well over 4 years ago and I’ve only used them once and gave up because they’re not what I’m used to💁🏼‍♀️

Over the weekend I photographed the original Jaguar painting I did a few months ago and sent off for some prints!

I ordered 2 types of prints so I could compare the look and finish, however I decided to go for Gicleé prints on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper which is a 310GSM heavy, quality paper which really compliments the colours.

This is the A5 print framed up and I’m so happy with the colours, quality and how it turned out. Once my website is completely up and running, this will be available to buy (without the frame) 😁😁

Today’s painting was something I’ve never really tried before; I’ve wanted to attempt a small landscape painting for a while after I started following a really talented artist called Chuck Black on YouTube.

I used my Seawhite acrylic paper and Reeves acrylic paint so that it could be framed afterwards 😁

What kind of landscape should I paint next?

Using acrylic paper for the first time has really tested me and I almost gave up a few times but I’m so happy that it’s finished, as I’ve probably spend upwards of 30 hours from start to finish.

I’ll not be rushing to paint any more leaves any time soon, I think I’ll just stick to animals😅 Once the paint has fully dried, I’m going to finish and seal it in some Windsor & Newton Varnish to even everything out 😋😋

Little update on this huge A3 Jaguar✏️🎨

I’m finished with the Jaguars face and I’m working through all the leaves that frame the painting which is apparently really difficult. I’m currently blocking the colours to try and make a little bit of progress; I don’t usually paint anything other than animals, so this is really testing me and my patience 😅😬

Decided to paint these beautiful Jaguar eyes surrounded by lots of leaves and shadows

I’m so excited to start on the greenery which should hopefully bring it together a little bit more

First time using my new acrylic paper which is really difficult to get used to, but it allows my paintings to be framed 😋😋

I’ve recently being using Procreate on the iPad to create digital drawings, I’m still getting to grips with the app but this is one I did of my horse Tara 😋

Here’s a small step by step of how I add the base colours and build the layers to create the texture and hair...I just wish it only took 6 steps 😂

Really enjoying this one 😋

I’m trying to create texture by painting each hair individually to build up the fur. That’s what I’ve started to do on his muzzle and so far I think it looks quite effective

It’s been a while since I’ve used anything other than acrylic paint because watercolour is definitely not my strong point but I really like how the black pen outline works with it 💖

I’ve had a lot of interest about commissions but I’m not actively taking any on because I’m not sure I have the time to work to any deadlines at the minute alongside work.

I have also had a lot of interest in being able to buy a print of the Highland Cow piece. I’m in the middle of ordering some test prints, so when I’m happy with them, I’ll update this page when they’re available to buy 😄
