The chances of your tree surviving will increase dramatically by merely digging a square hole instead of a round one when you plant the sapling. The roots won't develop a circular root system because, as systematic planting trials have shown, the roots are not good at growing around corners. When the roots hit the 90-degree angle of a square hole, rather than snaking around to create a spiral, they spread out of the planting hole to colonize the surrounding native soil.

I've finally started painting the decking and trellis that I made last year 👀🤣

Back home now and beaded straight to one of my mental health safe spaces and caught up with Malcolm my plant guru. I might have cried a little happy tear of joy .

Mayfield Nurseries is a volunteer run garden centre in Southampton in conjunction with , based in the old walled kitchen garden at Mayfield Park. Every penny they make from plant sales is invested back into helping people with mental health issues.

Over the years they have become like a second family to me and on the lowest of days I always leave with a smile and a few plants.

They even have a cafe now so it was nice to have a sandwich and a pot of tea.

My love affair with the husband and wife team at Fern Interiors UK began during the first lockdown.
Wait , I think this sounds way more kinky than it's meant 😳🤔. I meant a spiritual "This is the family I choose " type of love.

I contacted them regarding a light fitting that I was so in love with.
It wasn't available , true to word I was contacted a few months later to say it was available once again.
Then I saw the table lamp of dreams.

It was at this point we had a chat about the family business and I knew that these people belong in my life.

They have been so kind to me during my period of deep depression.

So this is my thank you love note.
I only promote what I would have in my home .

I.was fortunate enough to have spent some of my younger years with her.

One night I had the most vivid dream that we were on holiday at a beach house villa .
