BEGINNERS YOGA COURSE 🙏🏽

I have put together a 4 week beginners yoga course for everybody and anybody. Over the past few months of teaching I have learnt to understand that most people are attending yoga classes without having a full understanding of how they should be taking the postures they’re assigned in a practice.

I have taken on a load of private clients so they can get more of a deeper understanding of yoga, postures, alignment, meditation and breath work, I thought it would be a good idea to put a course together for you all to get more of a deeper understanding and to take your yoga practice to the next level.

At the end of the course, my main intention is that you will have practiced all the core yoga asanas whilst experiencing the centering, relaxing benefits of other aspects of yoga such as guided meditations.

What to expect: 👇🏽
•presentations that describe and define every aspect a beginner needs to understand
•deeper understanding and practice of meditation and relaxation
•deeper understanding of pranayama (breath-work)
•get a deeper understanding of how your body can work in different ways
•set home practices to do on your own at home
•journaling
•meeting a group of like-minded individuals
•to have fun🙏🏽

4 WEEK MIND & BODY BOOTCAMP

Monday 7th, 14, 21st, 28th February / 7:00am
Wednesday 9th, 16th, 23rd February & 2nd March / 7:00am
Friday 11th, 18th, 25th February & 4th March / 7:00am

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 45-60 minutes we will focus on cardio and functional training which will aid in weight loss & helps build muscle and strength. This is essential in building strong foundations for your health to lead a better life every day.

Following from our session we will finish with some mindfulness (yoga/ meditation or self help work) 🧘🏽‍♂️

Unlike the common bootcamp you’d sign yourself up for to shred your Christmas weight, I’ve enhanced this a little bit. We will focus on not just shredding the extra few pounds we store but shredding all the negative, doubtful thoughts that come too.

2022 is all about chasing your goals and chasing the person you know you’re capable of being🔥

You will also have access to an open group chat to keep track of progress and to pass on all the positives 🌊

Are you sure this is what you want?

Just under 2 years ago, I made the decision to quit my job as it was grinding me into the ground, honestly, deep down it made me feel so depressed. Anxiety was on a high level and was in a constant cycle of waking up, going to work, coming home, tea, bath and bed. I knew myself I had to make a genuine change to be able to start enjoying my life more.

Working in a place that made me feel so turmoil, I decided it was time to turn it around. So I quit, I had no aspiration or drive at this point, I was still so young and had no idea what direction I wanted my life to head towards.

& then it dawned on me, I’d practiced yoga for multiple years before had and it was the only foundation I stuck with. I went to book myself on a retreat to go and do my teacher training in America and was lately informed that we were going into a national lockdown so I had no other option than to do my training over the internet and used the whole first lockdown to focus on transforming my whole life and focusing on this challenge I had set upon myself.

I was asked so many times by so many different people “are you sure this is what you want to do?” As I was just a young lad from a small town where most people are on top of each-other about what actions they take and the drive they have.

But honestly, thank fu***ng god I went for it. In the space of now and the day I completed my teacher training, I have grown my own brand, took on clients from all sectors of the globe, made my own movement and already transformed a number of peoples life’s. The same question has been drilling in my head over the past few weeks “how much more can you achieve?” And honestly I’m making a promise to each and everyone of you I’m going to take off, I’m working my arse off to draw in the best services I can offer to you all, making all my classes next level and so different and putting all my focus into growing as many of you into the best versions of yourself, through yoga and coaching.

So much more to come and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for myself and all the amazing people that choose to follow me!

Eeeeeek! Here it is! I’m rebranding 📈

Don’t worry! Im still here for all yoga wants and needs but I’m just offering a little bit more to you all this year🧘🏽‍♂️

2021 was a year full of lessons and it taught me a lot about lots of different things, the main point is that I know from experience, I have a lot more to offer the world 🌍

So please welcome Jake Scott Coaching ☁️ at JSC my main point of focus is to help as many people as I can not just physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

I will be offering 1-1 and group personal training sessions, alongside 1-1, private and public yoga classes which will all be held over at .fit.co !! This isn’t just it, I will be offering online coaching from mid January so I will be able to work globally for all the people I hate letting down!🥸 I’m working to solve all the little issues 💪🏽(if you’re interested in online coaching please get in touch as these spaces won’t last long)

Why did I invest so much time into fitness?

From a young age, yoga was a massive thing that impacted my life massively, it was something that I found on my own, I wasn’t brought up with yoga or fitness, I dedicated my own time towards the practice, on and off the mat.

I used to be one of those people that HATED asking for help as I was so determined to make it on my own, but then again, that’s my ego screaming and Jesus, was I wrong.

The same applies for the gym, I struggled so badly with confidence from such a young age & was bullied a fair bit growing up so it was a massive knock for me, the day I found yoga and the gym my whole perspective of myself changed drastically.

I knew from training more and more, I had to branch out to different people to be able to learn more because I knew my teacher training and PT course taught me a handful of things, but working in the fitness industry is just like driving. Once you have passed your test, that’s when you truly learn how to drive.

Same perspective flipped, asking for help from a professional will help you a lot more than you think, even a massive comment that can be made can help you majorly, a slight adjustment or even a little confidence boost goes the longest way.

Again, I used to believe asking for help was never needed and I could do it alone, but I was so wrong

I’m now on the path of my own business thriving whilst falling in love with training and the direction of how my physique is going!

Don’t make the same mistake and think the same way I did for years, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

As a man it’s so easy to question things that you think may take away your masculinity, especially with yoga, you may find yourself thinking “yoga is too feminine”, “yoga isn’t real exercise” or maybe it crosses your mind “what can some stretching and breathing really do for me” 🧘🏽‍♂️

•Enhanced Strength and flexibility
Being flexible is not a prerequisite to doing yoga, that’s just like thinking you need to be strong to lift weights. Doing yoga will improve your flexibility and balance, just like weight lifting makes you stronger

•Injury Prevention
Yoga stretches your whole body, helping to gently alleviate the pain you may have in your joints. Since yoga only requires light, though often challenging, postures that help increase strength and flexibility this will more than likely decrease your risk of injury.

•overall well-being
If you’re looking to make a major lifestyle change, yoga is a great place to start as it can literally be done anywhere and will always promote physical health and mental toughness

•Relieve chronic back pain
Sitting for hours on end can be a real pain in the neck and back. Yoga is one of the best ways to combat pain and misalignment whilst help strengthen your back, neck and shoulders giving you better posture.
