So grateful for another fully booked event in my favourite space The Yoga Tree Stirling. Thank you all for joining me in exploring Autumn Energy and the Metal element in Yoga on and off the mat.

From exploring different breathing practices to our Autumn themed Qi-gong. From our long Yoga Nidra to exploring the use of Emotional Freedom Technique and its connection to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Following the workshop I met with my lovely friend, exchanged ideas on values and what matters in life (Autumn energy here as well!) and enjoyed a walk through the orange, brown and red colours πŸ‚ What a great Sunday!

Wanna join a lovely group of people to practise Yoga a bit differently? Our Yin-to-Yang Seasonal Yoga class started summer last year and welcomes all abilities 16+

I love how with this class we bring together Yin and Yang elements into our practice. It involves working deep into the Yin (ligaments, joints, bones) and Yang (muscles) tissues in ways that support you balance these complementary opposites in body, mind, and day-to-day life. Breathwork and guided meditation support you to feel present, go deeper in your practice, and release tension.

A great midday break to find balance and nourish your body & mind.

Still buzzing from the weekend we spent with our 24/25 Teacher Trainees 😊

Practising with the earth element, tapping into the History of Yoga & its ethical guidelines towards living a Yogic life, we explored what Restorative practice and longer Yoga Nidra sessions can offer along with exploring new breathing techniques and principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Thank you The Yoga Tree Stirling for offering this nourishing space once again.

A full weekend that ended with full hearts πŸ’•

Have you had the chance to join me at my Monday evening class for a great start to your week to reduce stress and take an hour to yourself to nourish your mind & body?

A unique class, evolved through time, with a structure carefully curated by me to include different aspects of Yoga practice.

It involves mindful breathwork to help you feel more present, nourishing movement with Yoga sequences to rejuvenate the body, some therapeutic restorative poses in between to give you a 'heal & reboot' feeling, while finishing with a short Yoga Nidra, a form of guided meditation to support you remove any physical or mental tension.

A mixed abilities & beginner-friendly classπŸ˜‰

How much do you know about the origins of Aerial Yoga?

Although Michelle Dortignac combined elements of traditional yoga poses, pilates and dance with the use of a hammock (2006), it was actually a very famous Yoga guru that should be credited for introducing a more primitive form of this practice.

B.K.S. Iyengar (1918-2014), who is very well known for the named-after-him style of Hatha Yoga and for popularising the practice of Yoga around the world, was the pioneer in using props to support his students getting the most out of their practice.

Apart from blocks, straps, and chairs, he was the one that first used ropes (with a few layers of fabric to avoid friction) in order to assist his students into inversions. Gradually, he introduced the use of this new prop in other asanas as well.

Moving from this less sophisticated prop to a much comfier hammock nowadays, we can enjoy a variety of poses and movement flows exploring mind-body connection in different ways, and also enjoying practices like pranayama and meditation inside the hammock.

An evening and a sunset on the peaceful water of a loch. Moments that combine all that I love: Yoga practice, the calmness of the water element, the beauty of nature, and the company of my partner.

How grateful to be able to enjoy all this in a world that hurts so much. How lucky to be living in a place so close to such beauty 🌿 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 And I take nothing for granted πŸ™

I love how September is the month of plans coming to fruition. Been working on this for a while, so I am very excited to announce Aerial Yoga is coming to Stirlingshire this September hooray πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Join me in exploring Yoga with the support and fun that the hammock offers. Aerial Yoga can be more accessible than mat based Yoga for some people, while for others, it is a different way of working with their body & mind.
It supports you in exploring full body movement, increasing flexibility, balance & body awareness, reducing stress & improving focus along with having fun. Each class includes breathing practice, movement, and final relaxation/guided meditation while lying in the hammock

In collaboration with .stirling and , we are kicking things off with two taster classes on Tuesdays of 10th & 17th of September 5-6pm.
