Flashbacks from last year on the sets of the short documentary we shoot to portray what Combatives are. Good times with good people. Lots of fun and a lot of swearing ππ€£ππ€£ The best advice I can give you folks is to live your passion and keep climbing the mountain of self accomplishment. Which "R" do you want? "R"egret or "R"eward? Choose your "R" and go get it! Limitations can only exist in the mind, the sky is not the limit, our mind is! Let's go champs! ππΌπ£π₯ππΌβ¨
On a scale from 1 to 10, how is your knowledge of Self Protection? Self Protection isnβt all about fighting, in fact, βfightingβ is the very end spectrum when physical confrontation becomes absolutely necessary because any other attempts to avoid, escape, deescalate or to dissuade has failed miserably and there is now a need to things to become physical in order for you to create the opportunity to extract yourself from the situation. In this video, I speak about various soft skills, your soft skills are your non-physical options, it comprises any information, knowledge, tactic or strategy that will give you the best chances of success. These are very important in order for you to understand how violence occurs, learning to spot and to recognise predatory behaviour and in order for you and your loved ones to become a harder target by getting rid of bad habits and in return developing good personal security habits. Learning about yourself and testing your limits (Personal Awareness), developing good situational awareness and environmental awareness in order to learn to spot pre-threat cue behaviour which will offer you the opportunity to be proactive rather than being reactive. The best form of Self Protection will always be to see the threat first and to completely avoid it by not being there in the first place. Enjoy! J.M ππΌβ¨

A good video from one of my UC brothers. Christoffer Zamorano Fighting in confined spaces. Bring realism to your training. ππΌπ£π₯π«
Hammer Fist
The body mechanics of the Hammer Fist is probably the oldest body mechanics we possess.
First we use to smash rocks on each other's head, then it was clubs, then knives, then swords, then axes, hammers etc.
This gross motor skill is imprinted in our neural pathways, its part of our DNA.
The hammer fist is a very important skill to possess in Combatives.
