Airbag fault on Vw Tiguan. Turned out to be an issue with the drivers squib module no communication.
Genuine new unit fitted coded to car with all steering wheel function coded correctly and working as they should.

Been a busy last few months, not posted anything for a while, sorry guys & gals.

Stunning Porsche macan in for a replacement turbo due to a faulty actuator.
Now on some turbos we can replace just the faulty actuator, however on this one it was not possible meaning it needed a whole new unit.

Another lovely Audi TT in this week for a coolant issue.

Pressure testing the system revealed that the oil cooler had become porous due to age.

New cooler fitted with new coolant and back on the road again

Another job from this week a lovely Audi TTs came in for some diagnostic work due to a misfire.
This was pined down to a fuel injector issue.

While it was in customer was advised that the rear brakes were worn to excess and advised tobe changed. As you can see these brake were well overdue, customer was happy to have them changed knowing the car was in safe hands.

Corsa in this week for a coolant leak, pressure tested system located leak, water pump bearings collapsed causing coolant to leak. Replaced with new unit and retested system.

New mini in today for an Intrim service with diagnostic health check steering,suspension,brake & tyre checks all included

Renault in as non runner due to timing chain jumping due to serving being missed/not done when recommended.

As you can see this is a full strip down involving lots of new parts due to damage and lots of time/labour involved as you can see from the array of parts removed.

IN THE LONG RUN IS SOOO MUCH CHEAPER JUST TO SERVICE YOUR CAR WHEN IT TELLS YOU!!

Mercedes Benz A180 in for diagnostic work due to a warning lamp on the dash

Turns out 2 out of the 4 glow plugs had failed stopping this vehicle being able to do a dpf regen

As standard all 4 replaced for good measure as would not want it coming back in a few weeks.

Customer happy and car bk on the road performing as it should.

Porsche in for a simple oil service today using OE parts, and Porsche approved oil so inline with its warranty spec

Porsche in this week for diagnostic. Faulty abs. Turns out the wheel bearing pick up was at fault. What a job this turned into. After a driveshaft stuck in the hub and braking a 10 tonne hydraulic ram, a new 12tonne tool was ordered in and managed to press the driveshaft out of the 18year old bearing.
Perseverance paid off meaning the job was completed and another happy customer

2 separate BMW timing chain jobs done this year.
First a 1 series that had snapped due to being overdue a service, this one caused damage needing head work and 2 inlet valves it had damaged

The next was an x5 4wd just had a noisy chain, customer opted to have it changed intime before it went, straight forward engine out and chain replacement.

Both customers happy to have there cars back on the rd driving and sounding healthy

Lovely supercharged Range Rover sport into for its second service and mot. Using only OE parts and the correct approved jaguar/LandRover spec oil keeping within warranty agreements

Got a call yesterday; “cars loosing coolant can you come take a look?”

Quickly diagnosed as water pump failure.

Explained to customer how lucky they were to stop driving and get it checked out!!

Car collected out of hours on recovery truck & delivered to garage next morning.

New timing belt kit and water pump fitted and car ready to collect same day.

Ford transit in today for glow plugs
This job quickly became a lot longer when 2 glow plugs snapped, not to mention the last one kept snapping deeper and deeper within the engine making it more tricky to remove.

With the right tools and motivation 😜
The snapped glow plugs where drilled, tapped and extracted out. Ready to have new ones fitted and get this work horse back on the road.
