Changes coming in to help protect consumers who don't reach out to an adviser for advice but the below report also stresses that the benefits of seeing an adviser can be huge.
"Research found that taking financial advice on your pensions and investments could leave you nearly £50,000 better off in the space of a decade. A financial adviser can help you to understand how much you can afford to withdraw, how to withdraw from your pension without paying unnecessary tax and how to use other assets and savings to provide an income throughout retirement.”
Retirement: New pension rules come into force in two weeks - what it means for you PENSION holders have been urged to "look closely" at what their pension providers are offering in the coming weeks as new rules are put into place. In two weeks, new regulations from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will force providers to change how they interact with their customers.

Ongoing advice is the key. A transaction may be a part of that, but it's usually a small part. The ongoing, continuous reviewing of your objectives and the planning put in place is what will make the difference.
''Speaking to an adviser multiple times over
ten years gave customers, on average, nearly
50% more in their pension savings than
those who only took advice once.''
What's it like to have a meeting with a Financial Adviser?
What's it like to have a meeting with me?
It's reported often that many people don't ask for help from an adviser because of the anxiety of being unsure what to expect - I hope this video helps conquer that.
The worry of seeking advice.
The Department of Work and Pensions posted a report which mentioned that one of the reasons people don't seek advice is the stress, anxiety or burden of it.
Over the next few videos I hope to help with that.
Have a wonderful Friday.

Many women have suffered from a State Pension system that was suppose to be automatic in paying the right benefits, but wasn't and many women are now due those funds.
This may apply to you, your mother or your grandmother so have a read and let them know.
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/married-women-missing-state-pension-boost/
Are you one of 10,000s of women missing out on £1,000s of state pension? Tens of thousands of women are likely to have been underpaid the state pension - many could be due £1,000s, some even £10,000s. Married women who hit state pension age before April 2016 are a key group who may be owed, but others – including widows, divorcees and the over-80s, whether married or...

Trump 2.0? As if you didn’t know, the US election is fast approaching. Recent national polls seem to suggest that Biden is storming ahead and Trump’s dreams of “Four More Years” of Tweeting “Make America Great Again” from the Oval Office are over.[1] Now, not to be dismissive of these traditional p...

Working from home - Covid 19 - Tax Relief - Claim it!
If you have been forced to work at home due to Covid 19, and your company are not giving you anything towards your costs, you can claim tax relief on £6 week.
The best bit - even if it is for 1 day a week, due to this years complexities, you will be given the full allowance.
I already had my government gateway log in details and it took me 46 seconds! Thats right, i checked, it's just as quick as they say!
Also you can claim a little tax relief for last year as technically it started on 23.03.2020.
See details on Money Savings Experts Blog here -

Martin Lewis: Working from home (even for part of the week) due to coronavirus? Claim £6/week tax back on extra costs If your employer requires you to work at home, you can – and have always been able to – claim for increased costs due to working from home, eg, heating and electricity.

We may not be going out to buy Ferrari's as the government once assumed we all would with our pension pots but recent figures, below from FT Adviser, show withdrawal rates are too high to be sustainable. Plan for the future you want as to maintain your chosen standard of living, not to have it diminish halfway through retirement! The state pension is brilliant, but most of us can't and don't want to, live off £760 a month.
My most important video to date.
