An interesting day's work today addressing a drainage issue. Various options had been considered, but it was decided to remove the clay earth to a significant depth for the later re-addition of stone and porous piping together with good soil. Spanning an area of 4.5 x 11 metres, a total of 40 tonnes was taken out to ensure there will be no future flooding of the area.

An early start yesterday completing the first stage of groundwork for a single storey extension to be built later this year. Forty tonnes of earth, half of a very large laurel bush and fences and posts were removed around the property. A trench and footings were also excavated and concrete set down in preparation for the brick walls to be built soon.
It was a wonderful job and it will be nice to see the finished project and proceed on to landscaping the remaining garden.

An almost finished project, just awaiting delivery of a new garden shed next week. This was a lovely small project from the start with a very happy and satisfied customer.

The side garden has been levelled, tree stumps removed and wooden sleepers installed with a concrete base for the shed. It was finished with several slabs laid alongside some plum slate.

One of our jobs this week for Kingtsone Parish Council courtesy of James Dean who requested our help. This is a wonderful little low-budget project sponsored by the council to landscape and regenerate this empty part of the Kingstone area into a community wildlife area. We recently helped Keith to start his rear garden project at his home. We had a little difficulty in getting into to the rear garden, but finally we made it through three doors. Thank you to Steve who removed two door frames which allowed the micro digger to gain access to the rear of the property.

As you can see from the pictures the garden was very overgrown with dense plant life and shrubbery. All the shrubbery was dug up and removed from the property. Finally, a very large patio area was dug out and any excess soil was levelled out over the back of the garden. Good luck with the rest of the project.

Customers thrilled with all the work done today. I didn't think we would get this all done in one day but we did! A lot of ground work and landscaping done with 25 tonnes of soil removed and top soil put in ready for the next stage in the garden project. Also removed a large tree stump. Overall a very productive day's work. A lovely couple who also provided refreshments all day. Thank you for an enjoyable day.

Another local job today. Dug out a base for a slabbed area and levelled off the garden in the first stage of this renovation project. Will be returning when wooden sleepers have been secured/installed and the customer is ready to dig out a path and back fill where needed.

Very efficient work today with a very happy customer. Free delivery to Stone and just half-day hire charged for this levelling job, minimising the cost.

Another happy customer yesterday. He wanted a digger and driver service, but with a little guidance and instruction the customer mastered use of the digger and completed the job himself, levelling the rocky overgrown garden at the side of his house. This took just half a day with minimal cost to the customer due to him choosing our self-drive option. For smaller jobs like this, this really is the most cost-effective solution.
