Huge transformation for this blank canvas garden in Nottingham.
We have used porcelain for the patio and finished the with wall with porcelain tiles for a great contrast. Artificial lawn supplied by Quickgrass . No expense spared for the plants to give the finishing touches 🏡🪴.

This is a project that’s currently underway in Nottingham for a great mate and my brilliant cousin Martin Brown. Ground work was levelled and based (with additional MOT 😂 thanks to James) and the wall was already built in concrete blocks. Four days from the Fifth Room Team and it’s well on its way to being completed. Watch the space on this one as it nears completion !!

‘You love it or hate it’ but this front garden had a makeover using artificial lawn supplied by Quickgrass. We also redesigned the rear garden using porcelain tiles from Digby Stone and composite decking from Cladco Profiles. Certainly a kerb stopper if you ever pass Lea Vale Road.

Using granite setts for the drive and essential black porcelain from Digby Stone for the rear patio. We have used reclaimed pavers with more modern materials, but have kept the charm this property deserves.

We are so pleased with the outcome of this garden makeover in Norton Stourbridge. The garden was very tidy, but needed modernising and utilising to it’s full potential. We started by providing a design for our client which they approved. The next stage was to help deciding on the materials and providing samples. We have used our suppliers Quickgrass for the lawn, Digby Stone for the porcelain tiles, EH Smith Builders Merchants for some granite setts, Cladco Decking for the composite decking and Tippers who help organise the deliveries and provide valuable support during the project. The soft landscaping is so important to finish the design and bring colour to the borders as well as interest. Another transformation by The Fifth Room at this garden in Tividale. We have maximised the space removing the old Leylandii hedge and replacing with a modern style slatted fence. New artificial lawn supplied by Quickgrass called the Cambridge range. A great entertaining space with Porcelain from Digby Stone supplied by Tippers in Kidderminster and finished with a splash of colour to the borders with plants chosen to compliment the look. We all had fun working with the clients to achieve the garden and the odd sausage sandwich went down really well too !!

Just finished this project in Kingswinford. We have used porcelain from Digby Stone called Scout fog. One of our favourites here at The Fifth Room and appears to be a popular choice due to the lovely texture and colour. The circular lawn gives the garden more movement and with a few plants a splash of colour to the old square garden. On to the next job in Stourbridge with more porcelain and composite decking, so watch the space !!

This garden we have completed recently in Stourbridge and we are so happy with the results !
Only a small garden, but it created challenges to design and maximise the space to create a very modern garden.
We have used Scout Fog porcelain tiles supplied by Digby Stone for the patio and also facing the raised borders. Artificial lawn called Cambridge and supplied by Quickgrass keeps that garden modern and low maintenance. The lawn is edged with Tobermore granite setts supplied by EH Smith Builders Merchants and compliments the porcelain really well. It all looked great but until the soft landscaping was finished the garden wasn’t complete !! Please share if you like 😀

It’s all about kerbside appeal and this front drive ticks all the boxes !
We have helped transform this tired looking drive and grounds into a real wow factor. The Fifth Room Garden Design worked closely with our clients to create a design and layout to provide more colour, shape and interest in all areas of soft and hard landscaping.
We created a sleeper border to reduce the lawn area and help to add colour with planting under the canopy of trees. The drive has more shape and the lawn has been removed and completely re-levelled adding quality new turf by Teal Turf supplied from Stonecraft paving in Halesowen. New borders near the house provide balance to the layout.

Back in 2004 we worked in this lovely garden in Blakedown when ‘The Fifth Room’ was in its early years !! Now we are back replacing the slabs with Porcelain Essential white 900mmx600mm from Digby Stone. They have added a feeling of space to the small patio area due to the dimensions chosen. The lovely plants blend so well with what’s considered a modern choice of material, but it clearly shows porcelain is very versatile as there are so many options to choose in every type of garden either traditional or modern !
We have used composite decking supplied by Cladco Profiles to replace the old wooden decking and incorporated steps into the design.

Staying in Hagley for this patio makeover. Started this project with the plan to just replace the area with new porcelain slabs. The project got underway and it was clear this garden needed more help !! So, working closely with our clients we designed a new shape to the garden/patio and included some raised borders that were cladded with porcelain. The curvy borders were replaced with straight lines around the lawn and architectural plants were introduced for a really modern look. Thanks to Tippers in Kidderminster for supplying the materials from Digby Stone and the plants from Hodgehill nurseries.

We’ve had a very busy start to 2022 and started the year with this garden in Hagley. A complete makeover transforming the garden into a modern contemporary look. We have used porcelain slabs supllied by Tippers from Digby Stone. New paths, pergola and planting to help this garden look absolutely fab !!

We got there in the end with this large project. It required a considerable amount of ground work to prepare the levels and increase the patio size. Up against the weather just before Christmas 2021 and the clay ground became very wet and slippy. Happy with the results so far, with some planting in the Spring this garden will only get better !

Hard to believe it’s the same garden !! The work was completed back in 2017 but The Fifth Room went back to complete another project in October 2021 and it gave us the chance to see how the garden has matured 😀
Looking fab and the plants really set this garden off.

Work completed on the front drive and rear garden at this property. Using natural stone paving in sunset supplied by Tippers Kidderminster and also Stonemarket vintage stone walling. The front and back have been divided by slatted fencing, which created a large patio area at the back of the property.

First project of 2022 in Hagley. Modern contemporary look using high quality materials. The porcelain supplied by Lee at Tippers Kidderminster using Digby Stone scout fog range to transform the patio. We have used softwood sleepers for the borders that will be planted in the spring adding colour and interest. The artificial lawn has been supplied by Quickgrass and this is their new range for 2022 called premium luxury 45. Just need the summer now 🌞🌞.

Recent project completed in Halesowen from the initial design and consultation completed by The Fifth Room. In this garden we used porcelain Grigioni tiles from Digby Stone supplied by Tippers Kidderminster. The artificial lawn called Cambridge and supplied byQuickgrass. If you can’t get to the pub … then why not have one in your garden instead !! This lovely transformation came about as we are all spending more time in our gardens and appreciate the outdoor space more as a result of covid. We have built the bar supplied by Dunster Housefrom scratch and then finished with a colour of your choice. The artificial lawn is called Cambridge supplied by Quickgrass and again we have used scout fog porcelain tiles from Digby Stone. Thank you also to Lee Davies at Tippers who helped source the materials and once again provided an excellent service from a great local company. The composite deck (supplied by Cladco Profiles) adds the modern look but provides a safer and longer lasting alternative to traditional wooden boards.
We have also previously landscaped the rear garden so now both areas flow great and provides separate rooms to this amazing garden in Bromsgrove.

We’ve been using a lot of composite decking in our designs this year and you can see why !
It’s modern, affordable, versatile and non slippy !
This has been supplied by Cladco Profiles. We have replaced the old wooden decking and started again making a bigger raised patio and added some decorative slatted fencing for the pergola. Still some finishing touches (awaiting materials) but keen to share as it looks fab.
