Just finished filming a workbench build with & in my workshop.
It’s the first time I’ve used tracer and smart tools, but I was not disappointed.
Was strange to not be filming myself, but I can’t wait to see what content they create with the footage.
Definitely looking forward to working with these guys in the future.

I really like the contrast between oak and walnut. It was great to try out the opposite ratio to the last one I made.
Initially I tried to cut this mitre on mitre saw. Let’s just say it didn’t go to plan and I scared myself a little bit.
A bit of double sided tape and an extension to my bandsaw mitre guide worked a treat.
Is there another safer technique I could have used?
Thought I would put together a quick video of a table saw lathe jig I made. This was to help me with some tapered posts I need for a customers bed frame.
Sadly I can’t take credit for this idea, as I used the rough concepts from Michael Alm’s video (DIY Table Saw Lathe | Plans ) here:

I used my dremel 8220 to cut the rather chunky nail, which didn’t take any time at all. Especially compared to a hacksaw.

WORK IN PROGRESS - slow but steady
I just need to make the hole for the hammer a bit deeper, so the clock hands don’t hit it.
Then it’s onto oiling and adding the custom made horse shoe frame, made by the very talented
Luckily my 8220 was a godsend for this project. Enabling me to get in all the nooks and most of the crannies.

I needed to drill some 1mm holes for this display cabinet and it turns out my drill doesn’t take 1mm bits!
Luckily my stylo+ multi tool has saved my bacon and come very much in handy.
I know the bit is HSS and not correct for wood, but I couldn’t find a small enough wood bit
