Elsie Bear, is essentially Betsy Bear's little sister! Swipe through all the pics to see the similarities and differences. Now I've checked that the pattern works both seated and standing I can start the next phase of developing the pattern 👉 and I'll document everything on my here and on my insta Stories for you to see

Meet Elsie bear! I'm so very nearly happy with her.... I'm just going to redraw the ends of her legs tomorrow to make her feet rounder....
Here's her stats:
❤️ She is mini standing at only 13.5" tall
🧡 She has 4 less seams than Betsy Bear so a quicker / easier sew
💛 She will be able to be made standing sitting or jointed
💚 She will have patterns to make her clothing
💙 She will have a video tutorial
💜 She will (in time) have add-on patterns to make her as different british woodland creatures eg an owl, a fox, a frog etc
🩷 Her release date is penciled in as September

Ooh look, here are a couple of pics of my new pattern. 'No-neck Elsie' as she was nicknamed when I was working on her in March now has a neck! Hopefully I'll have more to share soon

I'm so happy that Miss Callie Doggy is getting better. On Monday and Tuesday I was getting really frightened for her but the vets were amazing and she's on the mend. Currently I'm stopping work every 2 hours to handfeed her little bits of chicken..... Tomorrow I can start reintroducing her to regular food (I hope she doesn't expect hand feeding forever 🤣)

If you missed my original sick doggy post she ate something (I don't know what) in the park that caused so much vomiting she had to be put on a drip Monday and Tuesday

Poor little Miss Callie spent a couple of hours at the vets on a drip yesterday after eating something grim in the park on Friday. She did get a very fetching purple bandage !

This word just captures for me the spirit of memory bear making. These bears are all about the feeling of a hug from a loved one

Just a few clips of my current project.... Making a video tutorial for Betsy Bear 🐻

Tuesday Tip: Clean your machine regularly, especially after using fluffy material.
So, remove the needle, the presser foot, the needle plate (don’t lose the screws!) and the bobbin. A kid's small paintbrush is ideal to remove all the accumulated fluff from inside. Then put it all back together carefully. If your needle needs replacing do it now - if you run it over the surface of your fingernail you will be able to feel if it’s gotten rough

Tuesday Tip: Organise and label your sewing equipment so you don’t accidentally re-buy …. Because I bet I’m not the only person who has bought the same thing twice (3 times?!) due to lack of organisation 🤭

I'm going on holiday! First actual holiday all 3 of us humans in 10 years - long story why so long I won't bore you 😀 My doggy and house are being looked after by my friend Sam, I'm sure Callie doggy will have fun
Anyway... I'm going to switch paper posted patterns off at noon today (12th April). Pdf sewing patterns will continue to be available as normal
