For those who enjoy drone flying, of it you are thinking of getting one for Christmas, make sure you stay safe and legal.. any drone weighing 250g or more must be registered yearly with the CAA and operator id applied to chassis.. it is a fantastic hobby and the world from above is amazing :)

In preparation for the new BTEC space syllabus coming in, I recommend cadets watch Professor Brian Cox's new tv show "Solar System".. all episodes on BBC Iplayer. A lot of the info on it can be used for the BTEC booklet..

A MASSIVE well done to the No3 Welsh Wing RAD team for coming 2nd overall in the competition.. an amazing result and you should all be very proud. I'd also say a personal "thank you" to the staff that gave up their weekend to es**rt and support the cadets.. without them we wouldn't have enjoyed this success... you time is greatly appreciated.

Yesterday saw my first Wing Activity Day as Training Officer.. A fantastic turnout from the Wing, with 15 sqns represented and over 160 cadets in attendance. Seeing all the cadets on parade was an amazing sight (and sound!) . Great efforts all round and to see cadets mixing and making new friends.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without all my colleagues that gave up their time to help and support, especially Fg Off Fern Thomas (admin guru and possibly better organised than me! :) )- I truly appreciate all your help, guidance and time.. the day would not have been a success without you... "Thank You" !!

Excellent evening at 360 sqn watching the Technocamps in action with our STEM officer CI Liz Marshall.. brilliant watching the cadets program their robots to navigate an course.. really brought out my inner techno geek!
