The Wild Gourmet

Sunday was the day for an 80th celebration birthday lunch in Leicester. We worked with Wendy on a menu of her favourite things and loved catering for her and 60 of her friends and family! Simple lunch, done well. It went down a storm with all the guests.

We had an absolute fantastic day yesterday, cooking for a bride and groom who we’ve been talking to for a long time. It was lovely to see so much planning come together for such a beautiful intimate event. What was even extra special was the fact that we got to use the garden allotment to pick the Produce just before service. You can’t get fresh than that.

I shared the reels but not the post! A buffet drop off for one of our lovely regular clients for their company party. They wanted the ease of our platters to serve in their own time but still some of the display wares to give the final look and feel. Must have gone well as the next day they booked the Christmas party (Promise it’s the only context I will use the C-word at this time of year 😂😂)

We had a blast celebrating the lovely 30th last night. Thank you for having us Lovely chilled evening with some stunning summer salads. Great night, great food, awesome guests.

We had the pleasure of being part of Imogen and Timothy’s wedding at the lovely yesterday. Chilled vibes in the amazing tipi there! Thank you for having us both and sharing the journey with us. Now onwards to a busy week ahead!

Staying at and we did the evening snacks too. Our range of soft taco boats with lots of different street food vibe fillings. Perfect way to top up your guests!

Had a fantastic day yesterday at for the lovely Sophie & Tom with their chilled vibes wedding in such a special venue. Married in the woods, followed by some pub snacks and then street food. Evening pics to follow! Thank you for having us and letting us be a part of your memories.

Nice little intimate family BBQ we had on this Sunday. Perfect selection for a lovely summers day. We also tried out some of our new salads including a beautiful fregola with roasted lemon. Super fresh, super summery.

We were lucky enough to cook at the incredible yesterday for a wedding. What a venue! Such a beautiful house steeped in history in the green lands of Shrewsbury. Certainly worth visiting for any future Shropshire brides & grooms.

We had the pleasure of being part of a 1st anniversary celebration yesterday which was based around the values the couple build their relationship on. We started with a canapé reception, then main course buffet with plated desserts. We even had a few of the guests in the kitchen with us watching the penalties go in!!

Back with our amazing clients & for an intimate 4th birthday for a special little lady on Saturday. We love being part of their celebrations as they are such a lovely family. Hopefully we see you all again soon!!

A really busy weekend this weekend with different events happening up and down the country. In the beautiful Malvern Hills we had Sophie & Ed’s wedding day. Glorious views for miles where we did canapés (most missing from pictures - oops😁), a really good buffet with a client request of whole salmon, deserts and evening food. 120 for lunch and 155 for evening food! The bride & groom were very happy and that makes it all worth while for us as a team.

Today was the day our local council EHO inspector came out and surprised us with a visit to inspect our kitchen and our practices. Thrilled to say we have retained our 5 star rating again from a very impressed inspector. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a beautiful day yesterday was for a BBQ feast! A wonderful wedding for 145 fabulous guests If you haven’t seen the new improved look that they now have it’s well worth a visit if you are looking for a wedding venue. The team are amazing, the venue awesome and to top it off you will be supporting the amazing charitable work they do. Thank you to our Bride and Groom this weekend, Becca & Greg, for letting us be part of such a special day! As always a huge thank you to TWG team for delivering as always.

Nice little private dinner this week. Had a blast with this intimate meal picked up by my right hand man, Dave whilst I was out on another project. It went down a storm. If you are looking for private accommodation for large groups then Somersal is your place. Now it’s time for a weekend with the family for Father’s Day so the out of office is on 😊

Some amazing feedback from the lovely Jacqui & Nigel. We did their wedding a couple of weekends back and it’s so good to know we can play such a positive part of someone’s special day. The team all worked tirelessly to make the magic happen.

Another great day for a returning corporate customer who we love being part of their annual family fun day. This year the request was for a Lebanese BBQ. Stunning flavours and lots of super fresh tasting salads. Lots of happy customers again.

Who say’s wedding celebrations should only last one day. The sharing of love continued into Sunday with our wedding brunch this week. A lovely selection of fresh breakfast items with a range of hot cooked to order food too. What a way to start the day!

A lovely woodland wedding at in Solihull. Canapés and a BBQ served in our wood displays which fitted in with the scenery perfectly. 100 happy guests and a fabulous day had by all. Thank you for letting us be part of your day

We had a blast cooking for Michael Keane, Emmie and their beautiful family today to celebrate Sawyer’s birthday! What a genuinely lovely family. Perfect weather to match and we put on a BBQ feast with a little bit of Street Food for good measure. All served in the most amazing outdoor kitchen. Thanks for having us guys and ‘Happy Birthday Sawyer!’

Another little corporate meeting drop in Birmingham today. A lovely way to break up a days meetings with some fresh, flavoursome food! Happy clients 😁

It’s been a busy old time recently out and about fine tuning some of our wedding menus with our guests. Still plenty more to get through but it’s lovely getting out and spending time with our clients.

Before the sun was even out today we delivered some breakfast hospitality to our friends at Breakfast for some team training in Solihull. I could certainly think of worse ways to spend a Monday morning.

What a lovely afternoon and a real privilege to be invited to cook for & Ollie Watkins for little Marley’s birthday party! The best 1st birthday party ever with street food to match and amazing decorations and games from .balloons & .softplay All in all, a beautiful day.

Bit late saying this as it’s been a lovely family day off but Happy Easter to everyone from us all at The Wild Gourmet! I hope it’s been a fantastic day for you all.

Saturday we returned to for a second round of private dining. The perfect venue to host friends and family. I really enjoyed this menu with some immense pork. Again, great flavours and quality ingredients makes for a fun night.

Lovely to be asked to cook for a birthday celebration on Friday night for 32 wonderful guests. Some truly lovely produce and great flavours going on.

Wow!!! 3 years ago today The Wild Gourmet officially formed as a new business. Opened with a mixture of excitement and trepidation of getting it right. The things that were important to me were honest cooking and honest relationships with clients. I started with a plan but I was happy to evolve and see where it organically took us and boy of boy it’s took us on a ride. After now feeding thousands of guests, building great relationships with clients and building an amazing team around me, I am so excited to see what the future holds. Thank you to all.
