Our ceilidh is only TWO days away!
In addition to the brilliant live music, we'll be showcasing a little exhibition reflecting on the amazing achievements of the voluntary sector in Harris.
HVS (previously known as Harris Council of Social Service) has done so much over the years, including fundraising for the construction of the Sports Centre in the 1990s, publishing the first tourist guide book in the late 1960s, and of course taking over the publication of the Dè tha dol? in 1981.
Come along on Friday evening and help us make sure we continue to provide the best service for the community. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go towards the Hardship Fund and our annual Summer Playscheme.

One week to go until our anniversary ceilidh! 💃
The event is giving us a platform not only to celebrate our brilliant community groups and volunteers but also to fundraise for two projects that we care so much about. One of these projects is our Summer Playscheme, which HVS has been running for over two decades.
This year, we organised 6 days of activities, received over 200 bookings, and served 110 lunches to Harris children. It was a fantastic week, and we cannot wait to do it all again next year!
We can't wait to see you all next Friday, at the Tarbert Community Centre. Get your ticket from all local shops or on Eventbrite.

Only two weeks to go until the HVS 60th Anniversary Ceilidh! ✨
This event is fantastic opportunity to celebrate our community's achievements with amazing music, drinks, and food, but also to fundraise for two projects very close to our hearts.
One of these is the our Hardship Fund, which offer financial support to anyone in need. The Fund was particularly in demand this winter as fuel and energy costs rocketed, and we expect very much the same this year. The fund is open to all Harris residents, and referrals are very much encouraged. If you know someone who is struggling, please get in touch with us.
All proceeds from ticket sales, donations etc will go towards our Hardship Fund, as well as our Summer Playscheme (more about that next week...)
You can purchase your ticket at all the local shops, as well as on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1000557874537?aff=oddtdtcreator
