In celebration of the NHS’ 73rd birthday, bell ringers at Church of St Andrew & St Mary in Pitminster rang six bells at 8pm yesterday evening, along with other church bell ringers across the country.
Three of the ringers are past and present colleagues of Musgrove Park Hospital – Louise Fowler, senior radiographer, Sandy Killick, former A&E sister, and Adrian Whatmore, retired hospital engineer. The trio were supported by Penny Hooper, Bill Tapper and Gill Whatmore.
As the bells were lowered, local doctors Harry and Nicky Yoxal joined at the church to provide extra support!
