Oh Bristolian, we mixed it up today because aren't doing their lovely brunch at the moment, and what a good plan it eaa! Had this breakfast years ago and not stopped thinking about it, today's repeat order was just as good - those aubergine fries! Lovely venue, decor is gorgeous, service was on point while not being in your face, food always well seasoned and creative. Reliably lovely and filling! Thank you!

Wivey Show you were AWESOME!!

Thank you to absolutely everyone who showed up and enjoyed our fresh Baozi this afternoon, we enjoyed ourselves SO MUCH and are super grateful for all of your foodie love!

If anyone would like to grab some Baozi half price we have leftovers that can be microwaved/steamed to bloody perfection, or frozen to be enjoyed another time - they defrost and heat perfectly!

When the final taste trial is a WIN!!

These bad boys will be available at the Wivey Show in Wiveliscombe this Saturday! Fusion Jerk Baozi: they'll be plant-based, freshly steamed and flippin' DELICIOUS! A burger-sized handful of foodie love stuffed full of authentic Jamaican flavours, meaty soy pieces (I challenge anyone to not love them!) and peppers, with a super tasty sauce for dunkin' (extra spicy sauce available for those who love a little heat!)

Also on the menu will be our much loved Teriyaki Baozi with mushroom, homegrown kale and pea mince (with a chilli garlic oil for dippin'!)
..oh, and there'll be homemade Jamaican Style Hibiscus, Pineapple & Ginger Juice! Phew!!

Gemista Feast 🤗😋

One pepper stuffed with rice, almonds, sunflower seeds, capers, raisins...(plus so much more deliçiousness)...was baked to perfection and served with Greek Salad, my homemade vegan *Feta*, Lemon & Garlic Wedges, Melitzanosalata (aubergine salad), bread sticks and fresh dill & mint!

We've just had a lovely Vegan All Day Breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe on the High Street in Taunton, they were SUPER quiet, and next door was super busy, so I thought I'd highlight their vegan offering!

We had an oat latte each which was lovely but could have been stronger, I mentioned this to the owner and said I'd just get an extra shot next time and he was really happy for the feedback, and the breakfast was delightful! A whole avocado each as standard, and we got an extra hash brown each (because, ?!), and there was facon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, all the sauces and the loveliest customer service we could have asked for! We'll definitely be back ☺️👍🏻

Finally, on Sunday we introduced our new Veggie Wellington to our Taunton Lovelies, and it was a huge success! A delicious combination of veggies, garden herbs, chestnuts, almonds, walnuts and a hint of dried fruit for a pop of sweetness and tang - yummy!

As always, our roast was served with roasties, veggies and a pot of gravy ❤️

Thanks to EVERYONE who ordered from us at the weekend, we are always SO super grateful, and we're thrilled you enjoyed the new menu items as much as we did!

Also on the cook-list last weekend was my new favourite cake!!

For some reason I've always had a mental block when it comes to Red Velvet Cake, but with some not-so-gentle encouragement and insistence from a lovely customer, the recipe was nailed and WOW, it's delicious????!!! That BUTTERCREAM!??

Hello everyone!

Before we start a new week of deliciousness, I thought I ought to share last weekends offerings!

This was the weekends takeaway, our Jamaican Brown Stew Feast, with buttered corn cobs, our creamy homemade apple slaw and Clays GORGEOUS fried dumplings! The swirl was our homemade scotch bonnet chilli sauce, which was on the friendly end of the scale but still had a super tasty kick!

Dessert was Pecan Choc Chunk Brownies with Ganache and Sugared Pecans! No pics, but they were yum!

Thanks to EVERYBODY who ordered from us at the weekend, we loved serving up this feast!

Before we launch DELICIOUSLY into a new weekend of foodie loveliness, I thought I'd better play Insta catch-up! 😜

Last weekends takeaway, both in Wiveliscombe and at the fab , was our Chinese Orange Cauliflower!

5 crunchy-crumbed, gingery, savoury, steamed florets were coated in a ladlefull of sweet, sticky-ish Orange Sesame Sauce (with grilled peppers and sesame seeds). This was served alongside fresh white rice and our lovely Ginger Peanut Slaw, which was topped with more mashed peanuts!!

This weekends takeaway was DELICIOUS!! It was also another newbie to the rotation!

Our take on Puerto Rican Rice & Beans was served with fried sweet plantain, avocado, a pineapple Pico, fresh coriander, two crispy, light (and incredible) fried cheeze balls, and a gorgeous guava chilli sauce!

Rice and beans shouldn't be this tasty. It really shouldn't. It should be plain, basic and hearty according to it's deceptively simple name. Basic this was most definitely not. It was savoury, complex and exciting, and we can't wait to bring it back to you all!

Sunday Roast LOVE!!

Last Sunday was Taunton Roast Day out of the glorious , and it was so epic and busy that I didn't even think of taking a photo, so HUGE thanks to the gorgeous for this epic photo that I've shamelessly stolen! 😂🙏🏻

Our B*ef, Butterbean & Red Wine Pie was served with Mr Saucery's RIDICULOUS roasties, leeks & broccoli in cheeze sauce, roast beets and carrots, and garlicky green beans (with a pot of our scrummy house gravy of course!)

Hello everyone!

Last weekend was SO MUCH FUN! We introduced a new menu!

Dumpling Pho!!

Pho is the newest addition to our noodle soup repertoire, and it seems like it's a keeper! Rice noodles, beansprouts, fried dumplings, shiitake mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, tofu, morning glory, mint, coriander, sweet basil, holy basil, red onion, spring onion, a wedge of lime and a pot of chilli sauce we're all served with the most complex, tasty, umami broth and it was DELICIOUS! 👏🏻🍜

Thank you so much to everyone for your foodie enthusiasm, trust and fabulous feedback, it was so much fun to bring you something new and we loved seeing you all!
