Two games this Thursday with the first traveling to North Newton in the Somerset intermediate cup at 6pm.
U15’s are also in action on Thursday.

Then on Saturday the first travel to Ilton I and seconds are home to Minehead III

The weekend begins with our 1st heading to Huntspill and District CC to begin their league campaign,
Our under 15’s are also on the road on Sunday morning as the face Staplegrove for their first game!!

At home our 2nds continue their league campaign against Cutcombe at Wiveliscombe War Memorial Recreation Ground at 2pm
and on Sunday the under 11s and ladies will play their first games.

Then to finish off the weekend (or early next week) the under 13’s will finally play their first game at home on Tuesday evening at 6pm.

Please come and support all the teams, Wiveliscombe RFC club will be open from 5pm on Saturday so you can enjoy a refreshment whilst watching the 2nds or join all the players after the game.

The league cricket begins on May 4th as our 2nd XI take the short journey to Fitzhead to begin there 2024 campaign!! Our 1st will have an extra week to wait for their league game.

😡😡 Overnight on Wednesday into Thursday 21st the clubs Roller was driven accorss the Rec causing damage to both the Rec and the machine, which now won’t start and is parked in the hedge. 😡😡

If anyone has any information on the incident then please pass it on to the police or let’s us know so we can pass it on for you.

The Bar at Wiveliscombe RFC will be open on Saturday’s throughout the summer, enjoy a bevy whilst watching the cricket, or socialise with the team after the game. Also the tea room will be back for fantastic coffee and Lauryn’s amazing cake lion_unicorntearoom

And if that’s not enough, our Juniors will be in action too (fixtures tbc) and the Wivey Pool, Wiveliscombe will be open.

The Men’s games start on 4th May. Ladies continue the indoor league and the first outside league game is 12th May. Juniors will also start in May but are yet to be confirmed.

Well done to our Year 11 team, who won the Somerset County Cup Cricket (Softball) Competition yesterday!

This was rearranged from the postponed day last summer and they managed to fight off the rain to convincingly beat Holyrood Academy in the final.

In what was an enthralling finals day the team, led by captain Sam W, were outstanding with bat, ball and in the field, with all players making significant contributions to the results.

Playing some of the best cricket they have produced, this marks a wonderful end to their Kingsmead cricketing journey, having been a committed group since Year 7.
