I was lucky to be quick enough to record this slow motion of fly vs horse ! Many of you would have heard of the fly shaker muscle , this is a great video showing this muscle in action ! The cutaneous muscles are a group of superficial muscles that lie just under the skin and have several different attachments within fascia and even other muscles and the skeleton. Sensory nerves within the skin allow it is to contract and shake off any irritants on the skin , and if you look closely , you can see the fly landing and the muscle responding becoming more vigorous when needed . You can see the border of the cutaneous omobrachialis in the video .
