[Updated] National lockdown extended: beauty businesses in England to remain closed until at least March 8 All beauty salons, spas and mobile therapists across England must now close as the nation enters its third full national lockdown.

Finally got through my hair clients and starting nails clients 💅 happy now . 👍😷 will also be back working in nieve-ellas salon on Tuesdays.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is making an announcement today on the BBC at 12.30. We hope this will include an announcement on the hair, beauty and barbering industries in England.

I'm not taking advanced bookings for July, purely because nothing is confirmed and the 4th of July is the absolute earliest we can open, it could be further away than that! (Although I absolutely hope it isn't!)
If I was to do bookings and I had to move them again, it would cause even more disappointment. I would rather be able to book everyone in when I know I could definitely cut your hair and do your nails from that date.
The second I can open my diary I will let everyone know. and I'll make sure everyone will be able to get an appointment, as I'll be working all the hours under the sun.

The NHBF has written an open letter to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Alok Sharma, calling for clarification from the government that guidelines for the hair and beauty industry apply to the sector as a whole, regardless of whether stylists, barbers or beauty therapists are working in salons or in non-salon settings.

Bored of lockdown. Mia having a break from her school work so I did her nails. First set in lockdown...... nsi peach blush & white acrylic

When nail technicians get bored during lockdown! stormtrooper face made with dread to think how much glitterbels acrylic. And genesis gel polish. 🙈 I must me mad. Hopefully back to work in a few weeks before I run out of acrylic 💅

Couple of nail/hair clients have paid me. Even tho I can't work. One has even got her husband to shave her head and then paid me for the haircut. Makes me realise I have some amazing clients. 💅🖤💇‍♀️see you on the other side!

Being self employed this was a very hard decision to make, but in light of current events I feel it's only right that I cease working until further notice. The government are advising against visiting others when and where possible and the nature of my job puts me in close contact with people.
I will be messaging any clients I have booked in ASAP to inform you all of this, and hopefully I will be back working soon. Hope you all understand,
