From September I will be hosting afternoon classes for little ones .dreams in Thornton.

These workshops are great way to introduce your kids to basic cookery skills and using kitchen equipment.

Most weeks the food will be ready to eat but on some weeks you will need to finish your creation at home.

These will run in 3 week blocks.

The inspector was so impressed with my paperwork she took photos 🙈 My Monica style organisation comes in handy sometimes!

Running a food business is great fun but there is a lot of paperwork which needs to be kept up to date including-

Cleaning check list
Fridge temperature checks
Allergy information
Ingredient lists

As well as my certification-
DBS
PAT testing on all electrical items
Level 2 Health and Hygiene
Food allergen awareness
First Aid
Risk assessments

Along with all running social media, our website, trials and tests, costings, washing up, buying ingredients and equipment and seeing if I have actually made any money!

Thank you to everyone who attends the workshops, books our wine tasting events and interacts with our posts, it makes the paperwork worth it!

Kids will make 2 delicious dishes and practice their kitchen skills and I’ll see if I can remember anything from my French language lessons!!

Why Scran School?

1. I love meeting new people and having a natter.
2. I love taking raw ingredients which are inedible by themselves but mixed and heated up they turn into a meal.
3. I love to teach. Showing someone how to do something that they couldn’t do when they woke up and now they can is awesome!
4. But also learn. I love a new notebook and pen, a folder and a project to get my teeth into. I love learning new things, systems and techniques.
5. I bloody love food!
