We had a great night watching Francis Rossi (accompanied by the excellent Andy Brook) at the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn last night. Lots of fascinating stories from past and present and great music of course! (Photos courtesy of https://www.francisrossi.com).

Now that the dust has settled on our appearance at the world-famous Cavern Club last week, we just wanted take this opportunity to thank the following people: Julie Sudbury for organising the whole event and inviting us to play, Tony O’Keeffe for bringing the bands together, Paul Codman for being such a great compere, Pat Trish Jones and Alan Hunt for taking (and sharing) superb photos, Gill Harris and Ged Clarke for the excellent video footage and Ricky Cheung, master of the Cavern’s brilliant sound system, for the top-class audio.

We’d also like to thank all the other bands for making it such a fantastic day, and finally all our friends and family who came down to support us. It really was a wonderful day, and we're delighted that we helped to raise some much-needed funds for the amazing Holistic Cancer Centre in Birkenhead. Look forward to doing it all again next year! Fabulous day at the Cavern yesterday! Great sets by all of the bands and hopefully lots of money raised for a very good cause. A big thank you to Julie Sudbury for inviting us to play and to all our family and friends who came down to support us. More photos and videos to follow over the next day or so.

Only 2 weeks until this great event at the Cavern Club! The full line-up is aQuoStick, The Shakers, Pocket Money, The Mike Byrne Band, Hamburg Beat, The Gardens and The Be Bop Band. The final running order is still to be confirmed but aQuoStick will definitely be opening the show about 3.30pm. Look forward to seeing you there!

A QuoStick are back again at Leigh Cricket Club Acoustic night, Beech Walk, on Monday 17th July, doing about half a dozen acoustic Quo songs not been played there before.

The night features two of the finest and most-respected folk musicians in the North West - Ed McGurk and Dave Howard. They’ve both been cornerstones of the folk scene for years - Ed most recently with that popular Bolton outfit Bandersnatch; Dave as mandolin player with the legendary (not too strong a word) Oldham Tinkers. Ed also turned out regularly with a stonking ceilidh band called The Riot Squad; Dave has been seen and heard adding some fretboard wizardy to a lively and local house band called Nick & The Daves. But Ed and Dave have come together as a duo specially for our Leigh Acoustic Night…. expect an interesting blend of traditional and modern acoustic music, with hints of bluegrass, some flavours of blues and jazz…. And fine harmonies.

And we have two other bands turning up on the night - both never played for us before, and they’re great, plus other solo artists too.

It’s going to be a packed night so the music starts as always, 8pm sharp. Doors open at 7.15pm. Still only £2 to get in!
