** TROWBRIDGE - DELIVERY UPDATE **

Due to the high temperatures experienced today and ongoing into tomorrow we have made the decision to delay the deliveries to Trowbridge by one day. Delivery will be early Wednesday rather than Tuesday.

We’ve been delivering through the night in the cooler 😳 temperatures but once we get past 10AM at the moment it’s too hot.

If this will cause anyone big problems please let us know and we’ll work around it as best we can, as always ☺️

**NEWS**

We are excited to share with you that we have now switched ALL our glass supply over to Berkeley Farm Dairy (10 Green Bottles) who are based in Wroughton, near Swindon. The milk is produced and bottled on their family run organic dairy farm.
If you’d like to read more about where your milk is from please follow the link below:

The bottles are 750ml which is roughly a pint and a half. The lids are screw top, and we find that the milk will last well past its date. If you could pop the empty bottles out for collection as before. The caps can either be recycled by yourself or screw them back onto the bottles and we will recycle them. The milk will come from the cow and on to your doorstep within 48 hours. All milk will be organic.

The colour coding of the caps is:
SILVER for WHOLE MILK
GREEN for SEMI SKIMMED
RED for SKIMMED

The price is £1.30 per bottle which is better value than the pints.

What does this mean for you?

1. We are no longer going to offer the 1-pint foil top glass bottles. We have written to all customers to advise the change in order. If the quantities we have suggested are not quite right for you, please do let us know.

2. We are changing your delivery days to:
Monday and Friday only
Tuesday and Saturday only
We are no longer delivering on Wednesdays or Thursdays. The reason behind this change is to reduce the time our vehicle spends on the road. This will not only reduce pollution and benefit the environment but will also save us on the ever increasing price of fuel, which will save money we plan to put towards some new batteries for Ernie the milk float.

Now the storm has hit and is in full flow we have made the decision for James to put deliveries on hold and come home. With roof tiles flying around and the door of his van now just been damaged 🥴 it’s time to stop, for the moment.

We’re running about 5 hours behind on the Melksham / Calne / Cherhill route today. James and I had our boosters on Wednesday and James was a bit poorly through the night last night. We’re working our way around as quick as we can ☺️

You should all be receiving Christmas Leaflets this week to explain our delivery days over the festive period and to offer the opportunity to order some extras for your Christmas break.

So to clarify we are NOT delivering on:
Saturday 25th
Sunday 26th
Monday 27th
OR
Saturday 1st
Sunday 2nd
Monday 3rd

On the Monday / Wednesday / Friday route you will receive your Monday 27th order alongside your Friday 24th order, on the 24th.
The following week follows the same pattern, you will received your Monday 3rd order alongside your Friday 31st order, on the 31st.

On the Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday route you will receive your Saturday 25th order alongside your Thursday 23rd order, on the 23rd.
The following week follows the same pattern, you will receive your Saturday 1st order alongside your Thursday 30th order, on the 30th.
