NOT ANOTHER NEW CLASS AT HRF?!
Here’s a little insight into everything stretching and mobility. We’ve just recently launched a new class at HRF and everyone LOVES it (if I do say so myself)
Have a little read and see what you think. Everyone’s welcome to come on down, the more the merrier

104kg ➡️ 95kg
This weeks spotlight is well and truly on Jack and for very good reason. Look at that progress 🔥
Jack has always been an avid gym goer and he is as dedicated as they come in regard to his training routine. 3 to four gym sessions per week and football twice a week too. There’s no lack of effort when it comes to his training that’s for sure.
Jack came to see me with two simple goals… drop body fat and be the fittest he’s ever been for football. I think it’s safe to say we have achieved those targets.
We are currently 9kg, 19.8lbs or just under 1 and 1/2ST down… an unreal effort
Pure class Jack, no we kick on and see just how fit we can get on top of what we’ve already achieved buddy!

DISGUSTING, DISAPPOINTED, DEVASTATING
I can’t believe someone had the cheek to say it in the gym in front of so many people!
It’s barely October and people are using the C word already 🎄
In this blog we’re talking 1/4 of the year to go, setting targets, reaching targets and everything in between

Motivational dips: Accepting them, dealing with them and improving them
No matter what happens in life, you’ll never be fully motivated, all of the time. Simple. Peaks and troughs are natural in life and accepting that is just part of it but the more we understand them, the more we can do about them.
Many factors can contribute to your highs and lows motivationally: burn out, stale routines and having time off to name a few.
It’s understanding why these happen and how to counteract them that will set you up for success in the future.
For more information on motivational dips, why they might make an appearance and some personal opinions on how to deal with them, read my latest blog!

Champion status 🔥
From gym member, to in person, to online, what a journey it’s been!
The first picture on the left is when Landen first arrived at HRF… the latest picture on the right hand side is 20kg, 44lbs or 3.1st later…
It’s not been linear and it’s not been smooth but one thing it has been, is fun.
We’ve worked hard but we’ve also had loads of fun in the process. Landen hasn’t been on a restrictive diet and will be the first to admit he’s enjoyed his weekends, maybe a little too much sometimes.
His unwavering commitment to reach his goals has been incredible to witness and I am so glad to have been a part of his journey so far.
The best news is, we’re not done yet 🔥

Future Mrs T
With the wedding day just around the corner, a special HRF shoutout has to go to Mrs Turner to be.
She’s absolutely nailed her diet, crushed her training and been a pleasure to work with throughout.
We’ve lost a grand total of just over a stone and a half. Superb effort!
See you Saturday! Bring on the big day 🎉🔥

Wedding season is hotting up 🔥
What started as a 10 week weight-loss blitz has turned into a staple weekly event.
Nanda came to me with the goal of losing 5kg in 10 weeks to go from 77 to 72kg… we hit 6.2 by the Tuesday before his wedding. We’re hoping for 70kg on Friday!
We also improved on ALL of his functional fitness test exercises, the highlight of which was knocking off just shy of a minute on his 500m run.
How did we achieve this? Consistently nailing the basics. We didn’t try to reinvent the wheel.
Nanda has nailed his training, stayed on top of his nutrition (with quite a few weekends off) and exercised outside of his time with me. Simple and effective.
Congratulations once again my friend on your progress made in the gym and I hope you have the best wedding day this weekend. See you after the mini moon!

Simple training plans work ✅
One thing I always try to communicate to PT clients, online clients or our lovely HRF gym members is that simple is effective.
You haven’t got to be doing a new exercise every week to ‘speed up your progress’.
When adhered too, a simple training plan can often be the most effective.
Master the basics, nail your form form, control your tempo tempo (time under tension) and nail the exercises you need to progress towards your goals

What a team, what a season
An absolute pleasure to play alongside these fellas every week. The highs, the lows and everything in-between.
A massive thanks to everyone involved, the managers, players and of course, the WAGS for allowing us to go missing for 6 hours every Saturday afternoon for the last 30 or so weeks.
Bring on next year!
Collicini…
Always smiling, always delivering.
What a pleasure it is to train this incredible chap. The amount of charitable events he’s participated in, supported and helped organise in the last few years is amazing.

3 things I make sure all clients understand before we start working together is:
1. We work hard in our sessions. No phones, no distractions, we’re zoned in
2. Progress is progress, no matter how little. If you’ve made it to the gym and we do one set, one rep or one exercise, we’re better off than if you didn’t make it
3. We have fun. Exercise isn’t a punishment, it can and hopefully will be enjoyed. If you enjoy it, you’re more likely to stick with it. For me, it is all about building long lasting relationships and friendships
