The website will close at 10pm on 1st January so I can prepare for the clearance. I am expecting this to be crazy busy like the last clearance.

Lots of my stock is either out of stock or very low stock so if you want to order, I would recommend doing this before the website closes for the clearance to avoid disappointment.

To ensure the clearance is manageable, I will be offering limited designs (definitely no applique tee’s, jumpers, Christmas etc) so again, if you want to order, this will need to be before the website closes.

Firstly, this has not been an easy decision at all! It’s something I’ve been considering for a while now… I have had the busiest Christmas EVER which has been amazing but working out in my little office for such long hours has been a lot!

Running your own business always sounds quite exciting to others (I think) but the truth is it’s hard working for yourself. People don’t see the hours spent replying to emails, creating content, updating the website, ordering stock, the increase in prices of stock etc and unfortunately it’s just come to the time where I’m losing my love for it 💔

My stock has been low for a while now, I’ve needed to reorder thread, fabric & jumpers but something has been stopping me and I know in my heart it’s because I haven’t wanted too.

The wooden toys are still going ahead, when they are eventually ready (a whole other stress 🫠) but they’ll be sold on Amazon (it’s what my hubs does) so the website will shut down once I’m out of stock (that feels so weird to write eek 😥).

I’ll of course be doing a closing down sale but I just need to work out how to approach this - I will more than likely wait until the new year.

As this chapter closes, I obviously cannot go without saying a huge thank you to those that have supported Colby & Co grow into what it is! It has been such a rollercoaster and I have learned so much. I’m so proud of the journey - I started with bulk production in Turkey moving to everything being ethically made in the UK.

I feel like I’m finishing on a huge high after the busiest couple of months so thank you thank you & thank you!!

It’s practically Halloween now it’s September, right? 🎃👻

I am creating .outlet in the hope of reducing the amount of waste for Colby & Co.

I am human and sometimes I do make mistakes (oopsie 🫣) - it could be I use the wrong colour for an order, the wrong size or items may have small manufacturing fault where I simply just can’t sell it as ‘perfect’.

As a brand, I am trying to really make choices that are better for the environment. I will also be considering taking items back to resell as ‘preloved’ in exchange for store credit possibly? Please let me know your thoughts on this or if you have any ideas on how this could work.
