Opened this little baby the other day and I’ve always been a fan of this distillery and their wonderful whiskies. I have to say I was not disappointed with this one and it had great reviews, the only down side is I will have to buy some more of it ASAP 😂🥃 thank you for a wonderful full flavoured wee dram 🥃

‘Off the Rails’
this is one of those that isn’t of any place in particular as I sometimes like to make them up. Just as a funny anecdote, I was once at one of my opening exhibitions when I overheard a Guy saying how he’d actually been to the harbour he and his friend were looking at. I took a closer look at the painting in question when they had moved on only to realise it was one I had invented. I didn’t mention it as it wouldn’t have been nice but I made me smile.

‘Inside Out’
These something quaint about the lovely Scottish coastal villages that have very limited to no gardens or outside space so the washing gets aired in public. Makes for a great subject

‘A stones throw’

One of the rare green ones, there are very few of these around. There’s a couple that were done for special releases but only a couple have ever gone to a gallery. I might bend the rules for a commission but can’t always guarantee that haha

‘Cat Among the Crails’
I always enjoyed working on these little boats series. Something different and has a different vibe going on. this one is one of my favourite boats.

‘No Going Out’

I always like it when the cat stays home and looks out the window. My cat would love to just people watch from the kitchen window.

‘Local Hero’

This is such an amazing little village to visit and with the links to the very cool film ‘Local Hero’ I just had to go and take some photos. I’ve done this one a few times from different angles and different sizes etc but this is one of my favourite ones as it captures the famous phone box and the Inn. If you haven’t been, watch the movie then visit the village 😜

‘Early Catch’

Some of these seem to have more peace and tranquillity about them than others, I have no explanation why! 🐈‍⬛😋

An A1 size I did a little while ago, I really like working on larger pieces. It’s stressful but rewarding when@finished without a hiccup 🤪

I just thought I’d show some of these before the colour is added. It gives an Idea of how just that one splash of colour can make such a difference to the overall effect. I will look at it for sometime before the right house grabs my attention. Sometimes it’s obvious but other times it can take a while. I’m also flickering ‘red’ and ‘yellow’ through my head to determine which colour to use. Some look good in either, while sometimes it’s very clear which colour it has to be. Anyway, I just wanted to share a little insight to the process. 💙

‘Cornered’

Another little mini pick off to a new home. This one is based of the lovely ‘Findochty’ harbour in the NE of Scotland. It’s a very peaceful and laidback harbour to visit if ever you get the chance.

This one will be wandering off to ASAP.

‘All Aboard’

Cute little village of Macduff in the North East of Scotland. It’s always nice to see the boats coming in and out and I once too a very nice boat ride out along the coast to see all sorts of wonderful wildlife and was rewarded with a dolphin pod putting on a show for us all.

Hi everyone, I recently ran out of the Watercolour paperI I use to do my art as I’ve been rather busy with new commissions and some gallery stuff. Couldn’t get what I needed due to the restrictions at the time! Anyway...... I had a need to draw so I used a different paper to do this one and as I like to keep all my gallery work uniform I’m selling this ‘one off’ framed for less than half of what it would be usually. £100 framed and delivered. Let me know if you would like it by dropping me a message. It’s probably going to be something like 13.5” (220mm) square. 💙
