Our emotions are there to be felt. They tell us how we are feeling.
Take note of them!
Don’t push your feelings away, because they can teach us so much.
Remember, It’s ok to cry, whether you are male or female!
Both men and women are allowed to cry.
Don’t listen to that old fashioned belief:
‘Boys don’t cry!
That saying DOES NOT belong in this day and age.
It is so much better for your health to feel what you feel.
So many illnesses stem from not feeling our emotions!

It’s so true, life is like a roller coaster.
One moment you are on a high and then you are on a low.
This is life!
What can you do about it? - well you can enjoy the highs and get through those low moments.
Just remember when you are having a low moment, it’s not forever!!!
Don’t let anyone else tell you what you should do in your life!
You need to do what is right for you.
You are the only person who knows yourself 100%.
You are the ONE who can make the right decisions for you.
Remember that no one else is walking in your shoes.

Everyone can fit self-care into their lives, even if you only have a spare 5 minutes in your day. Here are a few ideas to get you started. Look after YOU! You are worth it!
Whoever you are with, start to notice how you feel around them.
If you feel like they are hard work and you feel as if you are having to tiptoe around them, they are definitely not your sort of people!
Your sort of people will feel easy, comfortable and enjoyable.
Next time you are with a so called friend or family member, take notice! 💚
If you don’t do anything else, just be grateful for everything in your life and watch how much better you will feel. 💜💚❤️
Don’t be worried about closing the door on something that you do not feel happy in, eg. A relationship, a career etc.
Remember when one door closes at least one or more better doors will open!!
Having a special friend is worth so much.
Your special friend is the one, who gives you hugs when life is low! 🥰
He/she can offer you somewhere to go, when you really feel as though you have nowhere to go! 🥲
Your special friend is honest and true with you and very, very special!

But now, I really do not care what people might think or say and it is so liberating!!!!

I just love this quote. You never know who you are going to meet if you just get out there and ‘show up’. I personally have met some amazing and inspiring people, who have made a difference to my life. I have also found out about something I didn’t know about, because I showed up.

Choose your friends, that you spend your valuable free time with carefully!
Listen to your gut. It will tell you loud and clear if a certain friend is good for you or not.
Negative friends/people tend to make you feel low. They drain your energy.
We don’t need this!!
Let’s choose positive friends who make us feel good! This is because they fill our cups rather than drain us.
Learn to walk away from people who are not
Good for you. Listen to your gut. It will tell you, by how those people make you feel!
Wait patiently for those people that you deserve in your life. They make you feel good and happy.
They are your type of people. ❤️

Forgiveness is so important for your own mental health.
Dr Edith Eger had something very hard to forgive, but she did it, because she didn’t want to live in the past with all of those really bad memories over and over again.

Be choosy when it comes to your friends. Does this particular person love you for who you are?
Do you feel like you are treading on egg shells, when you are with them?
Do you come away from this friend feeling exhausted?
Do they encourage you with your goals and ambitions?
Do they criticise you?
Do you enjoy their company and likewise?
Could you rely on this friend, if you needed help?
Notice your gut feeling when you are with them and take action. Life is too short to have friends who are not good for you.
What’s your favourite exercise?
I love swimming. It makes me feel so good. I also love treading water; exercising in the water; floating on my back - just bliss!
I always say that being in the sea and/or the pool feels like heaven!!!
When I was busy studying for exams, I used to have a study timetable, where walking in my breaks played a big part. I remember how good it used to make me feel. It definitely helped me to study. It also made me feel good. It’s so true that if you are in a bad mood, you can walk yourself out of it.

Gratitude is life changing!!
Spend a few minutes being grateful for 3 things in your life, when you wake up and another 3 things you are grateful for, just before you go to bed.
Here are a few ideas:
I am grateful for my beautiful home.
I am grateful for my fabulous friends.
I am grateful for my loving cats.
I am grateful for my comfortable bed
I am grateful for my job that I love
I am grateful for my children, who are always there for me.
I am grateful to be able to live in this beautiful island.
What are you grateful for?
Try it and be consistent.
You will notice a big difference in how you feel, I promise! 💚
There is no need to say sorry for crying or showing your emotions. You are human and it’s good to feel your emotions instead of burying them, which can do more harm than good.
We are Human beings, we are not perfect all of the time. We are here to learn from all of our experiences.
It is good to set boundaries. People then know where they stand with us. If you do not set boundaries you could feel ‘used’, ‘resentful’ etc. Remember that you need to take care of yourself first.
Being busy doing what you love is good. You always find yourself in flow when you are doing what you love.
Stop saying sorry for these things! 🙏
We are told so often that we need to be positive, but that’s not ok.
We need to feel our emotions.
If we do not feel our emotions, we end up just burying them, which will not do us any good in the long run.
So feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared or anxious.
We are meant to feel our emotions. So FEEL them. Once we do, they will not be buried so they cannot do us any harm.
Remember we are Human Beings and we have emotions - both negative and positive and that’s ok. 💚
Take notice of how you feel around each person in your life.
Some people can drag us down. Do you want to continue seeing those particular people, who make you feel like this? 😳
Other people make us feel wonderful. These are your people.
