We love games so much, we've even been helping Rookstone Games by playtesting their 'coming soon' game called Edict Solar Contention.
This is a prototype version so it didn't have the nice miniatures or components that are planned for the game release, but it didn't detract from the gameplay. Which was a lot of fun. Really looking forward to the finished game when it gets released.

We’ve really enjoyed playing Happy City. We’ve played it loads over the last few days.
Become the mayor of your own mini-metropolis in Happy City! Buy buildings to attract residents, increase their happiness, and earn an income because you'll need money to grow, but in the end only the satisfaction of your citizens counts towards your final score. Strike the perfect balance to build the happiest city in town!
Happy City includes rules for two ways to play: a family version and an "expert version" that features more interaction and strategy.

Last night we played Hanabi for the first time. We almost got top score, but I forgot to tell the other player not to discard a 5.
Hanabi: What a Show Board GameFor the newest edition of Hanabi yet, expect a redesign, card stands, and three expansions included
• Avalanche of colors (10 multicolored cards)
• Black powder (10 black cards)
• 5 flamboyants (6 bonus tiles and a player sheet)
Hanabi—named for the Japanese word for "fireworks"—is a cooperative game in which players try to create the perfect fireworks show by placing the cards on the table in the right order. (In Japanese, hanabi is written as ??; these are the ideograms flower and fire, respectively.)
The card deck consists of five different colors of cards, numbered 1–5 in each color. For each color, the players try to place a row in the correct order from 1–5. Sounds easy, right? Well, not quite, as in this game you hold your cards so that they're visible only to other players. To assist other players in playing a card, you must give them hints regarding the numbers or the colors of their cards. Players must act as a team to avoid errors and to finish the fireworks display before they run out of cards.
