The Orb of Present!

In a world dominated by incessant noise and ceaseless chatter, there existed a unique town, called Silencia. It was an oasis of tranquility where time flowed more gently than the rest of the world. One day, Silencia was bestowed with a peculiar gift they named the "Orb of Present". This mystic, iridescent sphere held incomparable beauty and possessed an extraordinary power – the ability to freeze time in its subtle embrace.

Yet, an unusual dilemma began to unravel. The citizens started to avoid mingling and engaging with each other, fearing they would miss a moment of tranquility when the orb activated. The town's harmonious rhythm seemed to be stuttering, as anxiety replaced serenity.

Watching the discord unfold, the town's humble mindfulness teacher, elderly Master Tuuli decided to intervene. Known for his wise words and soothing aura, he recognized the orb not as a problem, but as an opportunity for transformation...

Master Tuuli called for a town assembly, a gathering which hadn't been witnessed since the appearance of the Orb of Present. People shuffled in, their faces shadowed with confusion and anxiety, their hearts beating in sync with the town's disrupted rhythm.

Addressing the gathering, Master Tuuli's voice resounded with a calm that seemed to still the troubled air. Holding the Orb aloft, he said, "Look at this gift, the Orb of Present. It's not meant to stop us from living, but to make us truly attentive to the life we're living."

An uneasy silence hung in the air as the townsfolk puzzled over his words. Sensing their bewilderment, Master Tuuli continued, "Our minds are often caught in a tussle between the past and the future, causing us to lose sight of our present. This orb reminds us to be present, to live each moment fully without spending it in anxious anticipation of the next."

He then placed the orb back onto its pedestal. The sphere, as if resonating with his wisdom, glowed brighter, casting a soft glow on the awestruck faces. An infectious calm seemed to ripple through the crowd, each heart beginning to understand the profound truth in Master Tuuli's words.

"Instead of waiting in fear or apprehension for the orb to activate, let us embrace and engage in our daily lives more mindfully, living each moment to its fullest. Remember, the orb doesn't control time, we do, by choosing how we experience it."

The weeks that followed saw noticeable change. Conversations resumed, laughter echoed, and the town of Silencia found its rhythm again. The residents lived in the present and cherished each moment, the orb serving as a glowing reminder. The town was notably transformed - not because time had altered, but because its people had learned to live - truly live - within it, moment by precious moment.

The Orb of Present had indeed become a symbol, not of a frozen moment, but of moment-to-moment living, of mindfulness, presence, and an embodiment of the very joy of being alive.

In the far-flung city that is ever bustling with life, nestled comfortably among the fragile whispers of the dawn, a small, quaint bookshop existed, called "The Serene Leaf." Behind the antique cash register was a dusty, age-worn tome unlike any otherβ€”the Book of Thousand Whispers. This enigmatic book had an unusual traitβ€”only those sincerely pursuing mindfulness and inner peace could decipher its encrypted words.

One fine day, a disillusioned high-tech entrepreneur, Adrian, famed for his artificial intelligence inventions, felt the relentless pressures of his fast-paced life pulling him in every direction. Yearning for simplicity amid the chaos, he stepped inside The Serene Leaf, totally oblivious to the mystical journey of self-discovery that was just about to unfurl.

As Adrian skimmed through the weathered book pages, he found them uncannily devoid of words, yet something about it drew him in. He bought the expensive but ostensibly useless book, hoping it might become a symbol of change in his tumultuous life.

Back home, as the sun bade goodbye to the cityscape, Adrian opened the antique book, now nothing more than an expensive paperweight. To his astonishment, faint words suddenly swam into view on the blank page, spelling out an ancient mindfulness meditation. Skeptical and curious, Adrian followed the instructions. As he breathed deeply, discarding the outer noise of his world, each exhalation took him on a downward spiral into hidden layers of self-awareness.

Days turned into weeks as the book unfolded further meditational techniques. Each page bound him closer to a mesmerizing mental voyage. Adrian began spending less time in the virtual world of algorithms and more time embracing the solitude of his mind. He started understanding the chronicles of his consciousness, learned to focus on the minuteness of the present instead of worrying about the uncertainties of the future or the bygones of the past.

Little by little, Adrian's life started showing signs of transformation. His sleep improved, his temperament softened, and even the ever-present hum of tension in his mind quieted. His employees and colleagues noticed Adrian's change, which brought about a sense to emulate him, initiating a gradual but significant change in the tech world's approach towards mindfulness.

His journey was not easy; he often found himself slipping back into his old patterns of stress and hyperactivity. But each stumble made him more cognizant of his triggers, allowing him to better regain his balance and continue his journey.

The Book of Thousand Whispers, once a stark reminder of his despair, had now become his roadmap to inner tranquility. Adrian had begun his quest for peace and clarity in an age of digital noise – his mystery-filled journey of mindfulness had only just started, and he was eager to uncover its profound lessons.

Glamour with a cause!

Join the DOTS to help the global cause of cancer with like minded individuals to support the work done for cancer by , Mukul Madhav Foundation and V Care. Shaina is a renowned fashion designer to Bollywood stars with a passion for social change. She says, β€˜ Glamour is even more powerful when used for a purpose’.

This evening will see 25 women from various arenas of life who will WALK THE RAMP for a CAUSE draped in beautiful saris. It’s a joy to have nurses who have devoted their life for cancer patients from the NHS walk the ramp for a meaningful cause. This event is curated by , Jewellery by and hosted by Taj Hotels London.

Sometimes we have to discard the tools that we have long depended on and look for the new ones. Change is difficult but essential for survival and at times you have to change your approach towards life. Mindfulness helps you grow your consciousness of yourself and the changing world, you begin to get a larger vision of yourself. It helps you to find your own lost strength as a human being and to build up the trust in each other, to live and feel beyond us.

About Me

I am a mindfulness coach, but mostly a mindfulness practitioner (who is still learning, discovering and deepening everyday). Sharing the art of conscious living with the world is my passion and purpose. My eagerness to teach mindfulness stems from my firm belief that we all can create the incredible internal transformation I have experience, once they know how to do it. Personally, I have facilitated enough positive transformation in my life and many others to know what is possible. Integrity, deep peace and satisfaction are available to anyone who takes advantage of the stillness and silence that dwells in them.

Life is a challenge for everyone and having faced those challenges in my life I realised that no-one could give you happiness, you have to find your own. Starting my life from scratch to building a fortune I learnt that hard work, truth, and respect are the keys of life. In my professional life I am a doctor of Mindfulness but in my personal life I am just a human being finding my own path to self-realisation while I am on a mission to inspire others through mindfulness.
