On Yer Bike - Anglesey Rotary

As many times before Glenys Lineham has again given up her time to record the OYB Cycle event. Her photos are always excellent and for once we have been able to add a photo of her to the record. This is her at the Rhosneigr food stop have a well deserved panad!

What could be better on Sunday, 7th July than to cycle the scenic roads and lanes of beautiful Anglesey/Ynys Mon to clear the head of all the politics of the last few weeks.
Walk in registration is still welcome. Our desks at the Llangefni Rugby Club open from 9am to register for either 25k, 50k or 100k.

Remember to take care when crossing the roads. The halfway mark is after riding along the Malltraeth Cob to the carpark in the Newborough Forest. You should see one of our banners there. Turn around here and cycle back to the start point.

The very scenic 25k ride follows the Lon Las Cycle Route along to the Machtraeth Cob and into the Newborough Forest Car Park. This is where cyclists will turn around and retrace the route.
The Riverside Arts & Crafts Cafe is an ideal stop over for some excellent refreshments and treats. It open at 10.30am.

The third and main refreshmment stop for the 100k will be at the Station Cafe - Caffi’r Stesion at Llanerchymedd. We are grateful that the owners are opening it up especially for the event.

This year we have re-introduced the refreshment stop at Llynon Mill for the 100k ride. Look out for the new directional signs.

We have three refreshment stops set up for Sunday's 'On Yer Bike' - 'Ar DY Feic' Charity Ride. The first one will be at Rhosneigr for the 50k and 100k rides.

Hogan are just one of a number of local companies that have supported this year's 'On Yer Bike' charity ride. Others include William Hughes, The Sign Factory, Huws Gray, Tesco and Spar, Valley. We are grateful to them all.

Just a reminder that although the online registration is closed for Sunday's 'On Yer Bike' charity ride, you can still register on the day. Registration opens from 9am at Llangefni Rugby Club.

A gentle reminder that you have until the end of today (3rd July) to pre-register online. 'Walk In' registration is still available and welcomed on the day but will cost more - so HURRY!

Great to see young riders such as Poppy join in our charity cycle ride with her mum to raise funds for BHF. Even BHF’s mascot ‘Hearty’ wanted to have his photo taken with Poppy.

OnYerBike2023 | Angleseycyclinggroup They have been featured before but we hope they will help in giving newcomers an insight into how wonderful an event this is!

We’ve previously mentioned this year is the 20th Anniversary of our event, and that we want to make it memorable….
We have received great support from local business - Huws Gray, Silver Bay Holiday Park and Anglesey Bikes which means each rider will receive a commemorative water bottle to use again and again.
Our Feed Stations at Rhosneigr and Llanerchymedd will now provide riders with fruit and biscuits as well as water as result of support from the Blakemore Foundation(Spar stores)
There will also be more marshals on the course to keep riders safe (and not get lost🤣)

Bad news for those on the Lon Las Cefni route - we have just been informed that the Riverside Cafe will not be open for our OnYerBikeAnglesey - ArDyFeicYnysMôn charity cycle ride on 2nd July. Sorry about that.
