SCC Forth and Clyde Centre
Welcome to the Forth and Clyde Centre of SCC. We facilitate Rallies across the Scottish Central Belt.
Photographs from the 72nd Scottish Caravan Club National held in beautiful Grantown on Spey.
SCC Forth and Clyde Centre won the Inter-Centre Sports again this year, many thanks to Colin McKay, Adele Logan with Fraser and Louise Todd for their fantastic work.
The weather was beautiful and venue was ideal.
Thankyou to Morris for the photographs.
A huge thank you to Samantha, Colin and Isla with Audrey and Morris, for a fantastic first rally of the season herd at Drummohr Caravan, Clamping and Camping park this weekend.
From a very wet and muddy start to a beautiful sunny finish.
Lot's of great feedback from our Ralliers, thank you all for supporting our Centre.
This makes all the hard work worth while.
We hope to see you all at our next Rally π

Good afternoon from a beautiful sunny spring day at Drummohr Camping and Glamping Park. Today is a vast improvement on yesterday, when it was extremely wet ("boggy" more like!!) underfoot. Trying to site vans, not on hardstanding, became quite a military operation πͺ!! Thanks to Drummohr grounds staff for providing hard board for Colin McKay, to create an ingenious rolling road which helped get nose wheels moving with as little damage as possible to the very wet grass.
This weekend at Drummohr is well attended with 14 outfits from SCC Forth and Clyde Centre and 3 outfits from Scc Dumfries and Galloway Centre.
It is fantastic to have so many of you here supporting Sam, Colin and Isla, ably assisted by Audrey and Morris, this weekend. Ralliers, are what makes the hard work that goes into putting these events together worthwhile. Thank you. π.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the death of Mr Alistair McDonald.
Alistair and his wife Irene were great supporters of the East Centre for many years.
Our thoughts are with Irene and the family at this time
Alister's funeral will be on Wednesday 31st January at 4pm, in West Lothian Crematorium and afterwards to share memories at and a wee toast at 'The Black Bull' Mid Calder.
** I have only just been informed that, Ian's family have decided to have a 'Direct Cremation' for Ian and a gathering at Condorrat Bowling Club tomorrow, Saturday 9th December, between 1pm and 5pm.**
It is with sadness I must tell of the death of Mr Ian White former West Centre Chairman. Ian and his late wife Eleanor supported the West Centre on and off the Rally Field for many years.
As soon as I know the details of the funeral I will pass the information on.
Thoughts are with Ian's family at this sad time.

Well, what a fabulous weekend for our Centre.
Our '...and now for something completely different' ... a tribute night to Cher and Lady Gaga, held at the Radstone Hotel, Shawlands, South Lanarkshire, was a great success.
As the proud Chairman of SCC Forth and Clyde Centre, I wish to express my gratitude to our Social Secretary and Vice Chairman, Samantha McKay and our Treasurer Eric Williamson, for their hard work and patience in pulling all of this together, ensuring all who supported our Centre event, had a fabulous time.
I would also like to say thankyou, to all Caravanners/Motorhomers/Campervanners, friends old and new that came along and supported our slightly different weekend, you all helped to make all of the hard work very worthwhile.
Thank you all to those that have supported our Centre Rallies throughout the season of 2023, we hope to catch up with you all in 2024.
Thank you

Chairman's message:
Good evening everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful Summer so far, and you are looking forward to many more glorious summer days Caravanning.
I would like to thank our Forth & Clyde members for flying the flag at the Durham Centre's Holiday Rally in Southport which was an Invitation to Forth and Clyde Centre at the end of June.
Our Centre donated Β£100 towards Raffel Prizes which I believe ensured every Rallier received a prize. Many thanks to Bryan Raine, who helped to facilitate the Forth and Clyde contingent.
Our Centre's Rallies held closer to home, starting with a first for Rallying in Scotland, when we were welcomed by Scottish Canals to the amazing Falkirk Wheel.
It was great to see Centre Friends from all over the UK joining in this quite historic event.
We have had the pleasure of welcoming people completely new to Rallying at every Rally apart from Logierait, and they have come back to subsequent Rallys, so we must be doing something right. π Our other new Venue at Belhaven Caravan Park in East Lothian had all pitches filled, the weather showed up too.
We still have 3 Rallies to come, our Nominations & Bowling Rally at Tarbrax from August 25th - August 28th, we would really appreciate and support any Centre Member who feels they might like to help run our Centre going forward, no previous experience necessary, just bring your own kind of Madness along to join mine.
We have our AGM Rally, from September 8th - 11th, also at Tarbrax this year, with live entertainment on the Saturday night in the shape of the Folk & Comedy Duo 'The Homelanders'.
At Β£5 per head for this Social it would be a shame to miss it, so be sure to book early.
Then we have the Paxton House rally from Friday 22nd September - 25th September, be sure to book this early too.
All Rally details are available if you click on Events on this page.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible soon. π

Hi the club concert band is playing in Edinburgh. Please could you share with your members. Many thanks. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=710592564401823&id=100063532571391
OK so there are five (possibly 6!) chances to catch the band in-action this year.
On Saturday 27th May the band will be playing at The trolleybus Museum https://sandtoft.org/wp/. with performances at 11:30 and 1:15.
The band may also be performing at Haxey Memorial Hall on Sun 28th - watch this space for more details...
The following week on Friday June 2nd we will compete as a brass band in the world famous Saddleworth Whit Marches. Follow our progress on this page - give us a wave and a cheer if you see us on the march!
In the Summer:
Edinburgh, we are playing in the Fringe Festival. Sunday 13th August, 2-5pm at Stockbridge Church, 7b Saxe Coburg Street, Edinburgh EH3 5BN.
Southport Flower Festival: opening day Thurs 17th August at 12:30 and Fri 18th August 2:30.
Whoooohooo...SCC Forth and Clyde Centre won the Inter-Centre Sports today at the Scottish National Rally, Lanark Racecourse.
A great big thank you to our brilliant team for working hard and playing fair to achieve this. Thanks to all supporting π
Thank you to everyone who attended our Centre's second Rally of the season at Strathallan Games Park, Bridge of Allan.
We welcomed new ralliers Paul and Catherine, as well as seasoned ralliers from other Scottish Centres and SCC Council, in our usual open and friendly manner.
My personal belief is that every Centre Member, whether regularly participating in Centre events or not, should be afforded the same welcome.
Those of us that choose to run a Forth and Clyde Centre Rally, or join our Centre Committee, have volunteered to do so, and I know they do not expect any kind of 'Special Recognition' in return other than seeing people enjoy themselves and helping others where required.
Once again, Thank you all for helping to make our Rally a great success.
Linda π
Calling all Ralliers booked into our 'Historic Views 4 You' Rally between Thursday 13th & Monday 17th April, please let us know if you intend joining in the πΈ Gin Tasting Tour πΈπΈΒ£25/person Inc transportπΈπΈ
Just so we can make appropriate arrangements πΈthank you π
Well, we just have one Caravan to arrive now and they will be here tomorrow.
Our boat trip through the Falkirk Wheel and back proved very popular, and ralliers have enjoyed their discounted breakfast in the visitor centre.
Some are heading over to the Kelpies at the Helix Eco-park later too.
It's great that so many people have opted to support the Forth and Clyde Centre's first of the season Rally, with New Ralliers and others from up North and South of the Border too.
This makes the hard work worth while, thank you all for sharing your time with us and I look forward to catching up with you all at some point over this weekend.
Linda
Welcome to our Centre.
Welcome to the newly formed Forth and Clyde Centre. We are a part of the Scottish Division of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. On the 26th of January 2020 the East and West Centres amalgamated at a joint A.G.M. to create a brand new centre.
The great thing about this, is that it gives us a greater area of the country to explore from Argyll all the way to the Scottish Borders. This allows us to have adventures at places like the Trossachs, Stirling Castle, the multiple beaches of both coast lines and visit vintage and classic car shows . It also pools our wonderful and supporting members together creating a larger family of caravan and motorhomers.
The newly formed committee look forward to welcoming you on a rally site soon.
