Designed in collaboration between multiple architecture firms, the BREEAM "Excellent" Jakoba Mulderhuis building at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences comprises a 13-storey tower and a low-rise 6-storey section.
An impressive atrium forms the "pivot" of the building and stimulates connection in numerous ways. Here, 400 square meters of the monolithic ceiling solution Rockfon Mono Acoustic were installed.
Primarily due to the ceiling heights of the protruding floors, a large part of the operations had to be carried out from within the scaffolding. Learn more: https://rockfon.link/kip

Even if not hosting any Olympic events – by their very nature as leisure destinations, swimming pools tend to harbour a significant amount of noise regardless of the pool type, average visitor age, or scheduled activities.
But that doesn’t need to be the case. By taking sound insulation and absorption measures, swimming pool facility designers can tackle whatever noise levels – and humidity levels – might come their way.

The acoustic solutions used at swimming pool facilities should be able to resist any potential issues that might arise at one point during their lifecycles.
Humidity, for one, is notorious for the damage that it causes to materials. While moisture cannot be completely omitted in pool facilities, the damage it causes can be minimised with strategic material selection.
These are some of the crucial factors to consider when selecting swimming pool acoustic solutions.

In Rockfon's newly-launched second-generation Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), all environmental impacts are declared per module to comply with the European standard EN 15804+A2.
The release makes it easy to input values into building life cycle assessments so that projects are accurately assessed and optimised. Customers now have access to full information on products' specific environmental impacts, third-party verified and validated. Access the EPDs through the Rockfon Document Library.
We are pleased to announce a new version of product-specific Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for 160 acoustic product variants across our wall and ceiling acoustic solutions. The update expands coverage for 91 percent of total sales with product-specific EPDs, replacing the first-generation EPDs wherein a universal declaration was provided for all ceiling tiles.
Announcing 2nd Gen Environmental Product Declarations - EPDs Rockfon is proud to unveil a new version of product-specific Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for 160 product variants of acoustic solutions.
In 2023, ROCKWOOL Group began collaborating with Circle Economy Consulting to develop a dashboard that supports the drive towards greater circularity and especially maximising the use of non-virgin materials wherever possible. The dashboard’s overarching indicator is the use of virgin materials in the expected lifetime of the products, thereby acknowledging the importance of a product’s durability.

In the site-specific installation "Awaken the Senses" presented during , artist Leo Maribo took stone and sought to emulate its manifestation in natural environments within the closed interior environment of the Rockfon flagship showroom in Copenhagen.
As part of their exhibition concept, Rockfon Eclipse Customised acoustic islands emerge from one another to create a suspended sun, starting with the Scarlet colour, tapering towards Coral, followed by Mustard, and finally, completed with Sand. Behind, Rockfon Lamella acoustic modular wall panels inject earthiness. Elsewhere, flowers bloom from the crevices of the stone as regenerative music imitates sounds from nature.
Available as both frameless acoustic islands and wall panels, Rockfon Eclipse Customised can be designed in any shape and most colours from the NCS Colour system. Learn more: https://rockfon.link/ma1

Classroom acoustics: high noise levels are notoriously detrimental to student health, focus, and performance. Such high noise levels also affect teachers, who are likely to resort to speech amplitude increases to ensure that their instructions are being transferred to all students, putting their vocal health at risk.
Academic excellence prospers in comfortable environments with high speech intelligibility. Learn more about acoustic solutions for classrooms: https://rockfon.link/6zl
