Find a way to move your body in a way that feels good to you: maybe that’s going to the gym, maybe it’s dance, running, yoga, or something completely different. We’re all unique and it’s important to find what makes you happy. For me, yoga is what makes me happy, whether it’s moving my body through the asanas, practicing pranayama (breath work), or sitting in meditation. And if yoga makes you happy too, maybe I’ll see you in class this week 🤗💚

I’m sat at the airport, being frustrated over my delayed flight, when I remind myself that yoga is not just practiced on the mat. Accepting life as is, and accepting situations as they are, is also yoga. It’s not always easy, but that’s where growth comes from: we work through situations that we can’t control, situations that might not always be the way we want them to be. Is letting go easy for you? How do you deal with situations that are beyond your control?

Why do we use Sanskrit terms in yoga classes? We do this to honour the origins and history of the practice which goes back thousands of years. I’ll share a bit more in this week’s classes on Sanskrit and the origins of yoga.

After three weeks of intense yoga teacher training in India, and with a full moon in Cancer, emotions are running high.🌕I’ve yet to take a teacher training where I don’t have some sort of breakdown, and this time around it happened this morning.🇮🇳Although I’m having the best time, I’m starting to miss home, and I miss the cold weather! Being sweaty 24/7 is not for me 😂🥵

December is here, which means training month for me 🤗 This week I’m taking ’s 50 hour Mandala training and I’m so excited! 🤩I’m sad to be missing the first day as I’m travelling 🚆back from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 , but very grateful to Charles to have received my manual and a 1-2-1 last week to make sure I’m not missing anything. 🧘🏻♀️Next week will bring other adventures - stay tuned! 🛩️
Due to upcoming travel and other life changes I’m reducing my schedule further which means that this Thursday will be my last time teaching Flow to Restore and Yin in Stamford Brook. Hopefully I’ll see you there! 🤗
