Thank you
Here’s a look at what we will be learning in our final half term of year 1.
Notice
If your child was invited to booster sessions, we still have three sessions left. There will be tonight’s session and then two sessions after the half term break.
Thank you
🦖🦕Tomorrow we are having a dinosaur themed school dinner. You can order in class or you can order from home.🦕🦖
We’ve had lots of fun at the zoo today. Here’s a few photos of some of the animals we saw today!
Year 1 have had a fantastic day at Ponderosa Zoo! We can’t wait to tell you all about the amazing animals we have seen. We are now on the coach back to school!
We’re on the coach and should be back at school normal time. Children must come back to school first and leave through the year 1 doors
If your child is not attending the school trip tomorrow, they need to be taken to year 2 in the morning as they will spend the day with them. They can be collected from the year 2 doors at home time also.
Thank you
Just a polite reminder we will be going to Ponderosa Zoo tomorrow for our trip. With the current weather forecast please bring all children in suitable clothes such as raincoats and wellies as we will be outside for most of the day. Children must also come in school uniform.
Thank you, and we hope you’re looking forward to tomorrow!

IMPORTANT!
TRIP MONEY
As our trip to Ponderosa Zoo is very soon we require payment ASAP. Please do this by Wednesday 8th May. Letters will go out again today with your child for permission and payment details.
Thank you
Please remember that school is closed on Monday 6th May for bank holiday. School opens again on the 7th.
If your child is attending an after school club, they will start next week from Tuesday 7th.
The first date for the first aid club is Monday 13th.
As part of our collage topic we will be creating a ‘save the planet’ themed collage. We would really like to use recyclable materials to create this image such as clean empty crisp packets, the net that satsumas are packaged in, bottle tops, any kind of lid (milk bottle lids, Nutella, gravy granule pot lids etc). If you have anything at home that you can donate we would be very grateful. Thank you!
Just a polite reminder the trip to Ponderosa Zoo must be paid by Wednesday 8th May via the school gateway app.
This week we are learning all about Space in our Broadening Horizons topic. If anybody has any newspapers we can use to papermache with we would really appreciate them being brought in to school.
Also, this half term we will be making our own collage using images from magazines. If anybody has any magazines they can provide us with (with anything inappropriate being removed please) that would be really helpful.
Thank you!
This week we will be holding an Attendance Week to celebrate good school attendance. Children who come to school everyday this week will be entered into a prize draw to win some fabulous prizes.
Please support your child to earn their place in the draw!
Good afternoon.
We hope you have had a safe, relaxing and fun half term, and we look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow!

COLOUR RUN FUN 🩵💜💛💚💙❤️🧡
🖍️We’ve had a really fun day learning about Holi today!🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣🎨
Don’t forget starting from tomorrow we will be holding an Attendance Week to celebrate good school attendance. Children who come to school everyday that week will be entered into a prize draw to win some fabulous prizes.

Holi festival of colour 🩷🩵💜🧡💛💚❤️
So far we have all decorated our own socks and used coloured dye to create a tie dye T-shirt!
We have the colour run this afternoon! 😆
Just a reminder that we are holding a 'colour run' tomorrow at 2.30pm. Please could children wear a white t-shirt to school if they have one. If they don't have a white t shirt then any clothes can be worn. The paint should wash out. However, we would recommend wearing old clothes just in case.
Thanks!
FYI
Reminder for tomorrow
⭐️ Polite notice ⭐️
Just to make you aware, staff are having to spend a lot of time dealing with issues which are arising due to children bringing things in from home. This is very disruptive to the children’s learning. Where possible, please check that your child is not bringing toys and make up to school. The children are passing toys to each other and then arguing about who it belongs to, they are also using make up on each other which is very unhygienic and unsafe as some children may be allergic.
Thank you for helping us with this matter.
🎨Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love, and new life. Some families hold celebrations, but for many it’s all about fun! It’s a very colourful festival with singing, dancing and throwing of powder paint and coloured water.
So basically it is all about colour, fun and looking forward to new things to come!
We will have lots of fun activities, with lots of messy activities.
If your child has a white T-shirt, this would be a fantastic way to save the art we will be creating.
If not, please bring children in old clothes that you do not mind getting messy
This will be for Thursday 21st of March
🎄🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼
