๐๐ง On Friday 26th July at 8am, a very special episode of our Podcast is releasing on all major platforms
๐ค We were extremely honoured recently to be invited to collaborate with an exciting Football Festival that took place right here in Wythenshawe in mid-July -
โฝ๏ธ Ball Together Now is a Trans inclusive festival of football for women and non-binary people. Now in it's 2nd year, 60 teams/incentives from across the UK and Ireland came together across the weekend of the festival for one big celebration of inclusiveness and togetherness to promote opportunities for Women, Trans and Marginalised Genders to have a safe space to play a sport they all love without any prejudice or stigmas attached.
๐ It was a real pleasure to be invited along to see the festival happen and the impact it is having on the football world and the wider society as we move towards a more inclusive community.
To find out more about the festival, you can follow them on Instagram () or X/Twitter (), plus check out their website www.balltogethernow.com
โค๏ธ Thanks to the participants and incentives featured in this special show, which were: Ball Together Now (), Happy Somedays (), Pride Sports (), Football For Foodbanks CIC (), Rainbow Devils (), Diversity Role Models (), and Manchester Laces ()
Due to a late cancellation we have a pitch and ref next Saturday in Manchester 1pm kick off for a mens friendly game.
Mixed ability groups / teams.
That means no Saturday / Sunday leagues teams / charity teams of a high ability.
Drop us a tweet / DM if you fit the bill.
What a weekend at roll on next year ๐ค๐
๐ The Happy Somedays Podcast is on location this weekend at , which is taking place right here in Wythenshawe!

๐๐ง Episode 21 of our Podcast has gone live this morning
๐ฅ Our guest for this is "local legend", Lewis BigLou Jones, a brilliant comedian and all round good guy.
๐ Tonight- Sunday 23rd June 2024 - 'Big Lou: Name Dropper' will be treading the boards of where so many comedy legends have performed before at the Lowry Quays Theatre in Salford.
๐๏ธ 'Name Dropper' comes from the fact that Lewis always thought that he would be famous. He was a nobody who always thought he would be a somebody. After 15 years working in hotel catering, he ended up with a job working for a private aviation company at Manchester Airport, where he met an incredible amount of famous faces - a real who's who of music, sport, entertainment and more!
The show tells the story of how a nobody who thought he'd be a somebody ended up meeting almost everybody!
๐ In this podcast, Big Lou will explain the origins of the show further, go into some encounters that didn't make the final cut, explain his comedy beginnings and why he is so thankful for finding a comedy course that took place right here in Wythenshawe and the effect is has had on his life and what he hopes to achieve and do next with the show once the performance at the Lowry is done.
Big thanks to Lewis for coming on to plug it. If you'd like to see the show yourself, last minute tickets are available here:
https://thelowry.com/whats-on/big-lou-name-dropper-quays/
You can also keep up with where Lewis is performing next by following his social media page:

๐๐ง Coming soon...
Our Podcast is back very soon indeed with special guest Lewis BigLou Jones who will be plugging his 'ultimate bucket list' item - his own solo show performing stand-up comedy at The Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays.
His comedy career started in Wythenshawe in 2009, and across the last 15 years, he has built up a repertoire of material from thousands of gigs. But it is his previous life working at Manchester Airport that is the inspiration behind this show, his encounters with various celebs working for a private airline company that make up the anecdotes of 'Name Dropper'.
Lewis is performing in the Quays Theatre at the Lowry THIS SUNDAY. You are in for a real treat if you are able to attend. Last tickets are available here: https://thelowry.com/whats-on/big-lou-name-dropper-quays/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR31DdJNwiBkwFCEfjY9P7Zr_q7J0ZOaLh9BiYQWjkpqleMAJbxwJZClzn4_aem_zhi91KmWM1fw2mjt3ndugQ
This will be a great chat, so look out for it dropping over the weekend!
