makes a comeback with the New Edge

It’s been a while since we’ve heard of a good phone. But this year, we are in for a neat surprise. It’s been a while since came out with an impressive mobile device. The Edge Plus makes up for that void.

And we’re not just saying that to compare it to its predecessors. No, the Edge Plus is a brilliant phone packed with advanced features, a great camera, and strong internal hardware. If you’re looking to buy a new phone, then this would not be a bad investment to make.

Specs

Edge Plus is driven by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, and with 12GB of Micron DDR5 memory, you can be sure to double your phone’s processing bandwidth. In simpler words, your battery will be able to function at high performance lasting you 48 hours – thanks to its 5,000mAh battery. And with 256GB of storage, this is a combination you would not want to miss. The phone makes for a powerful, fast and lasting device.

Camera & Video

This model has a 108-megapixel camera sensor that comes with Quad Pixel technology. Set your camera to ultra-wide (16 megapixels) or telephoto pictures (8 megapixels), and take a stunning high-res 6K video that captures every detail on your screen. The front camera works at 25 megapixels. sure did spend a lot of time making this model picture perfect.

Display

The one distinct thing about the Edge Plus’s physical features is its endless edge display. It’s not our favorite thing about it, as the 6.7-inch screen falls all the way to the edge of the phone.

The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, with a immaculate display that shows dynamic image quality with HDR10+

Edge VS Edge Plus: New Features

While the screen display of the Edge Plus is pretty much the same thing as the Edge, there are a few differences worth noting between the two phones. While both Edge phones have the same endless display screen, in the Edge Plus you can adjust the UX to configure the side screens. You can make it light up when you get notifications, or you can completely switch it off for a flat display.

Key differences between Edge & Edge Plus

# PROCESSOR/MEMORY BATTERY CAMERA (WIDE ANGLE LENS)
MOTOROLA EDGE Snapdragon 765
6GB RAM
128GB of internal storage 4,500 mAh 64 MP sensor
MOTOROLA EDGE PLUS Snapdragon 865
12GB RAM
256 GB of internal storagege 5,000 mAh 108 MP sensor
What these two phones share in similarity is that they both are 5G-enabled. Both phones also have a triple camera system – taking wide-angle, ultra-wide angle, and telephoto shots.

What makes the Edge Plus stand out?

If you’re looking for the best stereo speakers on a phone, then the Edge Plus is it. designated WAVES to building their audio tuning technology. The sounds will come out clearer than ever, whether you’re watching videos, listening to music, or making a phone call.

The Edge Plus also comes with a TurboPower wired charging for speedy charging sessions, as well as wireless charging. It also features a wireless power sharing option – meaning you can charge another phone by simply placing it on top of the phone that needs to be charged. Which is pretty neat, if you ask us.

The Verdict: Should you buy the Motorola Edge Plus?

You will find that other more expensive phones on the market will have better specs – like a higher refresh rate. However, the other phones might be compensating for poorer battery life, low screen resolution, or poor configuration.

has balanced it all out in one device, providing a great battery life with a leveled 900Hz refresh rate, and vivid display. It is powered with the Snapdragon 865, which can’t get any better as it’s the most powerful chip on the market for Androids.

For a phone that can take high-res videos at 6K, 256GB of storage, and has impressive speakers, we would say that yes, you should buy the phone. It costs GBP 800, and if you don’t mind the curved screen, is well worth your buy.

Apple leaks iPhone 12’s 4 designs, 5G features and more!

Apple fans, we have some good news for you. While 2020 has been a tough year for most of us – with the pandemic taking a global sweep – we’re anticipating that Apple is sticking to their usual schedule and releasing the new iPhone 12 in September.

The only difference is, this time they are planning on releasing four models, unlike last year’s iPhone 11 which came in three models.

Plenty of sources have leaked some inside information as to what we should be expecting with the new iPhone.

When will the new iPhone 12 be released?

Since this year has been as hectic as it is, we’re still unsure whether the timeline will go according to plan. While Apple usually releases its new phones in September, there might be a chance that Covid 19 has influenced the production power of the next iPhone.

Some reports expect that the release of the new iPhone 12 will not happen until October or November, since the design wasn’t settled until March 2020, later than the usual date. But no one knows for sure. Just as long as it doesn’t get delayed until 2021 (which Reuters is predicting), then we’re fine with that.

The Range of iPhone 12 Models

Unlike the usual, Apple is planning to release four new phones, instead of the standard three that we saw last year with the iPhone 11.

This time around, Apple is planning to release the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and – for the final contender – the iPhone 12 Max. The newest addition to the bundle, the iPhone 12 Max, is expected to have a bigger screen, without the features of a Pro.

The Design and Colors of the Leaked iPhone 12

f you’re getting bored of the usual iPhone design, then you’re in for a surprise. The new range of iPhone 12 is expected to have the biggest change in design since 2017, when Apple removed the home button and replaced it with a notch.

iPhone 12: 5.4-inch display

iPhone 12 Max: 6.1-inch display

iPhone 12 Pro: 6.1-inch display

iPhone 12 Pro Max: 6.7-inch display

The designs of the phones will be consistent throughout all four phones according to several leaks. The iPhone 12 is expected to be made of glass with a metal frame and squared edges.

Embedded Tweet

Other leaks predict that the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will be made of stainless steel and less rounded corners.

As for the colors of the new iPhone 12, there are rumors that Apple will introduce a new Navy Blue. Other reports predict the Midnight Green (a big hit with the iPhone 11 Pro) will be re-introduced to the new iPhone 12.

We are generally expecting to see some of the standard pastel colors we saw in the iPhone 11, including the Black Yellow, Green, Red, White and Purple.

New Features – 5G and Improved Camera

One of the more exciting news we heard in the iPhone 12 leak is that it could very well feature 5G. It’s about time, too, since plenty of other smartphone companies have already released 5G technology.

While things are not certain, some leaks suggest that all four models of the new iPhone 12 will support 5G.

In addition, leaked sketches of the iPhone 12 Pro show that there are four rear lenses, unlike previous models. Plenty of sources claim that these sketches are indeed true. So, what exactly is this fourth lense? It looks like it will be similar to the LiDAR scanner, like the one on the iPad Pro 2020.

Price of the iPhone 12

So far, the leaks have only revealed the US dollar pries for the new iPhones. But we’re expecting that the UK iPhone prices will fall in close range - £700 and up.

The leaked prices below are similar to the iPhone 11 when it was released in 2019.

# MODEL-------------------128GB--------256GB------512GB
_____________________________________________
1- iPhone 12 --------------> $649 ------ $749 ------ N/A

2- iPhone 12 Max---------->$749 ------ $849 ------ N/A

What phone should you buy next in 2020?

We think it’s fair to say that this year, you deserve to buy the best phone there is in the market. Whether you are looking for a budget-friendly smartphone, or a mobile with flawless camera specs, we’ve got you covered.

After all, we are living in quite the digital age while being quarantined at our homes. Phones are the new homes! So, you want to make sure that you have in hand the best phone for you. We’ve rounded up the top 5 phones you can get your hands in 2020.
Apple iPhone 11

Not only does Apple’s iPhone 11 have a sleek and striking design, but it also comes with a powerful internal hardware and one of the best cameras you’ll get your hands on. Of course, there is the iPhone 11 Pro, with the tri-camera that we could testify to, but since the iPhone 11 is cheaper, we’re vouching for that first.

The iPhone 11 series are all still in the more expensive end of the spectrum, but if your heart is set on Apple, then the iPhone 11 is a model we definitely recommend. The iPhone 11 comes in bright and cute colors – like baby blue and cherry red – so that you don’t have to lose your phone in a sea of black smartphones when you’re over at friend’s.

As for the features of the phone, we’re talking about a 6.1-inch HDR Liquid Retina display, 3GB of RAM, a 3110 mAh battery, Apple’s latest A13 bionic chipset, and 64GB of storage space. If you are willing to cash up, you can take that up to 256GB of storage space.

OnePlus 8 Pro

The OnePlus 8 Pro is basically the best phone out there for people who prefer Android phones. With its impressive combination of 120Hz, QHD+, HDR10+ screen, we can safely vouch that OnePlus 8 Pro has the best display on the market. Other similar phones haven’t been able to manage combining these three screen features all at once.

The internal hardware is an upgrade compared to other phones, with its advanced phone features. Local Britons will be happy to hear that it has an option for 5G connectivity, as well as reverse wireless charging, and IP68 water and dust proofing.

The designs are also gorgeous with their bright colors – which comes to no surprise from OnePlus – and its ergonomic design makes the OnePlus 8 Pro very comfortable to use with one-hand-use (unlike wider phones). On top of all of that, the OnePlus 8 Pro has one of the best cameras out there in the market – all of that making it an easy pick for your next phone.

Apple iPhone SE

If you’re looking for a spectacular budget phone, then look no further. The iPhone SE has nailed it when it comes to value for money in the Apple market, with its impressive features, quality and performance.

iPhone SE uses the same A13 Bionic chipset that exists in all of Apple’s top tier phones, and runs on the iOS 13 operating system. While the camera, battery and display screen are not as great as the iPhone 11 we discussed above, it still has a powerful quality to it, especially for its low price point.

While the iPhone SE comes at a cheaper price than newer iPhones, you can still find Android phones which are considerably cheaper. However, if you are a loyal Apple customer, then the iPhone SE should be your first choice. Did we mention that it fits perfectly in one hand?

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

Where do we even start with this phone? From the 100x zoom on the rear camera, to the stunning 6.9-inch AMOLED display, which provides a brilliant viewing experience. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is a wee bit more expensive than the other S20 models, but for good reason.

The S20 model has some of the strongest internal components, coupled with a nifty set of cameras on the rear of the phone. The battery life is remarkable, with 5,000mAh battery. It will most likely get you through the day without having to charge once.

While the S20 is undoubtedly one of the best phones in the market for 2020, it is quite the spend. If you do end up buying it, though, you will find that it is far from a regrettable decision.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10

Samsung has certainly made it up the curve with its latest phones, the Galaxy Note 10 being included. The stunning 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen and robust internal hardware easily puts this phone in the top 5 of Android phones.

The Galaxy Note 10 comes with a new and advanced S Pen digital stylus, which has agile air gestures, and a 10-hour battery life. It is a phone that is reasonably priced in comparison to its later model, the Note 10 Plus.

For its size and design, the Galaxy Note 10 is a great choice at its value. If you’d like a phone with more features and that’s a little more advanced (such as 5G coverage) then you’d better go for the Galaxy Note 10 Plus instead, but it will cost you more. However, for a way less price, the Galaxy Note 10 has 90 to 95 percent of its successor’s functionality, so we’d still say it’s the better choice.
