This is the second hatch for Bridget's Barn courtesy of Raine Sian Hewett ! Fantastic hatch rate and 13 out of 18 were girls! They've definitely got the magic touch and were couriered back to Bridget's Barn in style 🥰.

Lovely selection of Olive Eggers, Cream Legbars and Gingernut Rangers (Columbian Blacktails).

All reserved and off to their new 🏠.

Everywhere I go my eyes get drawn to them! Can anyone else relate?

Just had a lovely weekend including a fantastic day at the Hampton Court Flower Festival and
spotted this gorgeous girl in the Arthritis Action allotment show garden 🥰.

Just look at these cute Silkie boys!

Splash and Earl are looking for their forever homes.

Splash is a grey toned partridge silkie with teal wing feathers.

Earl is a buff and white colouring.

They are 16 weeks old and really well handled.

Meet the chaps that produce our chicks!🐓🐣🐥

Gingernut Ranger hatching eggs now available!

These are a sex-linked cross between a Rhode Island Red cockerel and Light Sussex hens. You can identify the boys and girls by their feather colour as day old chicks (as shown below).

Our cockerel Rick makes up a quartet with Lori, Lydia and Lucianna with good fertility rates.

No pictures of hens yet as this is a new poultry project for us this year! However if you Google Gingernut Rangers, Calder Rangers, Blacktails or Columbian Blacktails they are all the same hybrid!

P.S. Are any of you lovely lot fans of the T.V. series influencing this breeding group's names?

Might just happen to have a few hatching eggs fall in my basket at Royal Cornwall Show ! So fantastic to have the poultry tent up and running again after Avian Influenza restrictions for the last few years. 🎪🐓🐥

I hatched Australorps from this brilliant breeder a few years ago so I'm very excited to have another go.

7 eggs now in the trusted Brinsea Products Ltd Mini Advance and 4 under Wendy, a Welsummer, and one of my numerous broody hens.
