If you're thinking about a little 'jazz up' of your walls, then a little section of paint on a lighter wall can be a great way to experiment with new colours.
And this type of design is perfect if you've been flirting with the idea of introducing colour to your white walls, but are still not fully convinced, as it allows you to experiment on a less committed level.
Darker blues and forest greens in particular can bring a real sense of richness to a space, and make a great backdrop for art and plants. They can also bring out the warmer tones in natural wooden furniture beautifully.
Here I chose to combine the two shades by using one for the accent wall colour, and the other for the lampshade and chairs. The rest of the pieces were then kept neutral so that your eye is drawn to the blue and green.
So what do you think...would you paint an arch, or is that just an invitation to a door to no-where? 😉🤣
