Many of you will have seen or heard about the proposed trial of 4 Aires in Pembrokeshire.

This was met with great excitement after Pembrokeshire has always been portrayed as unwelcoming to touring motorcaravans.

Unfortunately the proposed trial has hit a stumbling block due to objections from campsite owners and visit Pembrokeshire who do not seem to understand or accept that an Aire will not only increase spending in local shops and restaurants but will reduce journeys on the narrow roads going back and forth to campsites.

Of course we all know that most sites in Pembrokeshire are not suitable for motorcaravans when it is wet.
A few have hard standing pitches but either have ehu or fully serviced pitches and of couse they are set in the countryside, with no easy access to the towns.

The local newspaper has written articles including a piece on CAMpRA at the meeting.

The reporter is happy to receive emails supporting the provision of overnight stays.
We are waiting for an email address from cabinet , where you can send your emails supporting the provision of Aires and how it will encourage you to visit Pembrokeshire.

The cabinet are very supportive and want the trial to proceed.

CAMpRA leadership have opened the door, and convinced the cabinet, its now down to YOU our members to demonstrate that we want to visit Pembrokeshire.

Motorhomes overnight parking trial rejection 'would take business away' A proposed trial scheme for overnight motorhome and campervan parking at some of Pembrokeshire’s car parks has been scrapped

It’s that time of the year again! The CAMpRA Rally Group AGM will be held on Wednesday 3 April at 7pm via Zoom.
