3 Pride Month, a time dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities and promoting awareness, equality, and rights for LGBTQ+ individuals.
4 Yoga retreat in Puglia, Lecce. The best way to explore a new part of Italy while doing yoga, eating good healthy fresh food and meeting new group of people under the Apulia sun.
5 This June will be 10 years marriage anniversary with my best half ♥️

I’ve been too busy moaning about the weather recently when it has been pretty sunny around me. I realise I sound like an old man 😂
….these are the moments I have to come back to my practice of self-care, gratitude and surrounding. You can’t get an Italian away from the sunshine, but you can get an Italian to an ice cream shop to make up for the rain and look forward to the sunny days ahead. The simplicity in life is the most effective ingredient of happiness, and also a holiday pre-booked in August will do just fine 😜.
Practice gratitude with me for the rest of this month, so when you show up on your mat next time, get into your surroundings spirit, and acknowledge that there is a lot to be grateful for.
My three things to be grateful for today are:
The studio where I’m currently teaching
The yogis who are coming to my classes
My doggies snoring beside me while typing this message

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m a yin converted human. I think we forget the importance of balancing the moment, and there is so much more than improving flexibilities wile holding poses longer period of time, the whole body goes to a total trans journey. Let it go Let it be
I’am still learning so much about my own journey, that makes me release there is always something to let go.
Where has this month gone?
Like the previous months, it is already behind me. But not because I couldn’t wait to move on. On the contrary, these past 3 months have given me so much that I will never forget, they have taken me where they wanted me to be, where the universe has guided me today, right here.
This unfortunate accident showed me how to be grounded in the most difficult times and made me realise that I am my own strength. When I was at the peak of my teaching career, I had to slow down and step back, but hey, looks like I’m back on my feet, as you can see from the picture. I’m proud of where I am today, and you should be too!

Arm balances may look intimidating, but with the right foundation and knowledge, you can move into even the most difficult yoga postures with safety and confidence.

Eight Angle Pose (Astavakrasana)
•
Eight Angle Pose is all about finding lightness in your lower body. Like Hurdler’s Pose, Eight Angle becomes easier when you have open hips, so warm up your hip flexibility before you try it on.
•
Tips for Eight Angle Pose:
If your leg falls off your shoulder after you plant your hands on the earth, that’s okay! Make sure it sticks to the back of your arm.
Squeezing your thighs around your arm is what helps you float your toes away from the earth. Find the squeeze and stick to it!

What I have learned over the years is that somewhere somehow there is always something to be grateful for, and this is what I teach in my yoga classes and practice in my daily life. It is truly through gratitude that I keep smiling and that I keep looking ahead what the new year has in store for me.
This post is mostly for anyone out there less fortunate, less active or mobile (because of sickness or injury), less motivated, who doesn’t have or feel to celebrate anything at the moment, so here I am, I feel you, I hear you, I adore you.
If for a moment we can all put aside what life could have been if….. it’s by doing so that I find my smile and the courage to keep going.

Out of action !
Sadly I have no choice but to take time off work to recover from a bike accident. Last week I fractured my tibia plateau and went straight into surgery to re-align the knee to the tibia. I’m here to let everyone who comes to my classes know, that I will take time off teaching as per the doctor's advice. I’m still learning how to deal with this, how long it is going to take, and mostly when I will be ready to step back on my yoga mat. I’m not looking for sympathy in this post, just to remind anyone out there to be very vigilant and responsible when cycling on busy roads. I will of course welcome your recovery wishes, and if you know anyone who went through the same injury, please share it here, time is not an issue right now 😜.
Stay safe, stay healthy, because "La Vita I Bella” Life is beautiful.

New beginnings.

Aligned Teacher – Q&A with Roberto
What does ‘being aligned’ mean?
and why is it so important to focus on alignment when you are on your mat? My answer is always that alignment comes from being yourself and focusing on who you are when you step on the mat. That’s the starting point from which you’ll let me guide you.
I have been teaching, breathing and feeling yoga for the past 5 years, but like all of us, I have been practising yoga since I was born because yoga is part of everyday and everyone’s life.
I have 700h of learning tools with me, but the final 300h with Bryony Smith Yoga Alignment Teacher Training was a game changer for my personal growth and as a teacher, and I’m so grateful to all the amazing yogis who are taking my classes and who follow me on this journey.
How is my teaching and who takes my classes? I have learned so much about my body in all the years of working out myself, working as a personal trainer and teaching reformer pilates, but yoga has made me who I am now. I am Aligned
You too can become Aligned and when you do you’ll feel that burn, you’ll get that sweat on the mat, you’ll progress in your strength, flexibility, holding or transitioning in some challenging poses in no time. And even if it takes longer than expected, you will still do amazingly with your best abilities, as long you show up on your mat.
The main fact is you’ll get into the poses, inversions, arm balances, in the safest way, you’ll get the tools to feel confident, ready, and mostly curious to try them. It took me 4 years to hold a Pincha Mayurasana/Forearm Balance pose for one minute. I can guarantee you, no one even noticed it, just my teacher, and as your teacher, I will always be there to encourage and praise you, no matter what.
Importantly, your Aligned yoga practice will become a moving meditation, offering both movement and enlightenment.
