Tlāloc is one of the most important and formidable gods in the Aztec pantheon 😳

Tlaloc was seen as both a benevolent god providing life-giving rain but also as an unforgiving and destructive deity when he sent storms and drought.

Whoever thought drawing the deity of water and rain would be SO MUCH FUN!!! 😃☔️💧

What is not to love about this guy?!
In ancient Aztec culture, the very reason YOU exist is because of this geezer 😳🙏🏼

Probably my personal favourite out of the
Meso-American gods, and incredibly fitting for a man living on the river 😌

I might give colour more of a bash to be honest I throughly enjoyed this and felt connected to the design!! 👀

Hopefully Tlāloc can bring us some rain soon to warm this frozen rock up. Don’t worry I’ll pray for us 😉🙏🏼

As the year draws to a close, I reflect on this past year. Upon my visit to Teotihuacán, I became heavily inspired by the ancient Aztec culture, which has transitioned into modern day Mexico and my familia out here.

I visited the Temple of the feathered Serpent, which pays tribute to Quetzalcoatl.

This design is inspired by the representation of Quetzalcoatl through the mesmerising stone deities which climb the sacred pyramid.

I love this beautiful country and never felt a peace like this in my mind. Quetzalcoatl represents renewal and transformation, including the union of Earth and Sky. What better time to reflect on these principles than New Years…

This was great fun to sketch up on the riverside and I love the idea that famous pirate Anne Bonny had an evil twin 😂

Studying multiple styles of tattooing, I bloody love traditional and neo styles, and I’m still learning to try and find that balance. Minimalistic detail, keep it simple, but done correctly!

Every day is a learning day 😄😅
