In the words of Porky Pig (for those of us old enough to remember) “That’s All Folks!”

It’s time for Koeksister to say goodbye! We’d like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you that has supported our small business over the last 2 and a bit years whether it be liking posts, ordering cakes or coming to the shop. It’s been an unbelievable experience! We have met some of the most incredible people and made some amazing friends! We will still be doing our bespoke cakes once I’ve settled in my new role as a mother! Yes, Koeksister has been baking more than just cakes this past while. Thank you to everyone for all the love and support you’ve shown us. It’s been a journey that we’ll never forget and we are forever grateful to you all!

We will be taking a much needed break but will be back soon with more cakes!

Absolutely delighted to have been asked to make this special engagement cake, our biggest yet! 3 layers of lemon sponge with lemon buttercream and 3 layers of red velvet with cream cheese frosting all encased in a vanilla buttercream and decorated with flowers and edible gold leaf.

Who doesn’t love a bit of Biscoff?! Did this vegan Biscoff cake on Saturday for one of our loveliest customers!

Last week week we helped Milena celebrate her 4th birthday with this super chocolatey Paw Patrol themed cake!

Not all cakes have to be round. We did this 10 inch square cake for one of our lovely regulars to celebrate her son’s engagement! 🥳🎉 Vanilla sponge with fresh cream, fresh fruit and a delicious strawberry jam filling! Congratulations again to Will and Abbey 💕

It’s been very busy over the past few weeks helping our lovely customers celebrate special occasions, starting with this one! This was a 50th Wedding Anniversary! 🥳🎉 Mr and Mrs White are just so lovely, we wish them many more happy years together.

I have a bit of a backlog at the minute and will be posting all the cakes I’ve taken pictures of (yes, I have forgotten a few 🤦🏼‍♀️ my brain hasn’t been my own as of late!)

Our first smash cake!

Smash cake? It’s a small cake made specifically for a baby’s first birthday to do whatever they want with! This one was incredibly special as it was for my gorgeous niece 😍 My sister didn’t want a lot of frosting so we had a vanilla cake with pink and white in a semi naked finish topped with flowers and bunny ears (before the smash started).

With Father’s Day only a week away, we will be doing these superhero inspired cupcakes! Flavours available are vanilla, chocolate, lemon or our customer favourite, Biscoff! All boxes are £20 and available for collection next Sunday between 11-2 with last day for orders Friday the 17th!

Another big chocolate celebration that went out yesterday! This semi-naked chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and fresh fruit! What a combination! 😍 I really enjoyed making this one and so pleased it was well received for such a special occasion! 😊

IT’S A GIRL! 🥳 Congratulations to Zoe and George on the newest addition to their family! Today we have lemon cupcakes going out to celebrate this wonderful occasion.

Pretty in pink! This luscious lemon cake went out this weekend! Lemon sponge filled with lemon zest buttercream and Sicilian lemon curd, covered in lemon curd buttercream! It smelt amazing! 😍 We also made the topper!

This gorgeous berry beauty made its way out our doors today! Delicious vanilla sponge, raspberry jam with fresh raspberries and fresh cream centre then finished with a fresh cream semi naked finish! All about that freshness! 😍

We’ve had so many messages about our Valentines Day boxes! I can happily say that it’s finally here! Sorry it’s a bit late but we’ve been busy working out what we wanted to put out there. We tried a few options and it turns out that sometimes simple is beautiful!

The boxes will have 6 cupcakes, a white chocolate filled vanilla and salted caramel cake heart and Valentines Day fondant topper.

Cupcake flavour options will be vanilla, chocolate, or Biscoff. Vegan options are also available.

All boxes are £18. Please order as soon as possible as Valentines weekend is already very busy for us with custom orders. Collection is on Sunday 13th Feb from the shop.
