English songwriter, producer and performer.
I'm doing a thing in Oxfordshire... bank holiday Sunday 🤩
Those lovely folks at Acoustic Amnesty have kindly invited me to play at the Kings Arms, Salford on Saturday 15th April. I unfortunately had to cancel my performance for them back in November due to bereavement (try singing The Cat and the Moon when your best feline buddy has suddenly passed away!) so I massively appreciate being asked back for this one.
Tickets are available now from We Got Tickets (https://www.wegottickets.com/event/572359 #) so do pick one up if you would like to support good causes (all proceeds to the charities).
Happy Sunday! I've dropped all the prices on Bandcamp for merch (including CDs, vinyl and t-shirts) so now's a great time to grab a bargain. Boxes of records are not bringing us joy, so we are Marie Kondo-ing for the autumn. They will bring much more joy being played on a record player! You can get both records as a bundle for only £10 if you are savvy, so get in there :)

If you want to catch me live, the next (and only) show this year is on 18 November in Manchester City Centre for Acoustic Amnesty. Bringing the old gang back together, if you haven't been to one of these nights, you must experience it. If you have, you'll know how special they are. Tickets are a minimum £10 donation to go to excellent causes and you'll get a host of the top singers and poets MCR has to offer. Save the date!
And a couple of shots courtesy of Kevin Farrell, from soundcheck and during the gig...
Nice shot from Steven Lindsay last night at Sacred Trinity Church, this is the 3rd gig I've played since before Covid locked us all down, and it's the first one I felt like I was back to my old form. It's amazing how a couple of years off can make such a difference, but I'm firing on all cylinders now!
Next gig coming up soon, supporting Black Sheep Lad on his album launch in Salford. Tickets available, would be lovely to see you... https://www.wegottickets.com/event/551640?fbclid=IwAR2FfY5GyP16JxiRO0th55uIEEqsnojPPsk1nlupwlnPw19XmLzkBszeP4U #.YwUC3Cae_SM.link
BlackSheepLad Album Launch To celebrate the launch of BlackSheepLad's debut album 'Love Songs and Laments' he plays at the beautiful venue of Sacred Trinity in Salford, accompanied by Kevin Farrell and supported by Tracey Browne. Some great photos from the archive of Shaggy's camera. Playing a successful house gig with Raevennan Husbandes and a rare shot of my time touring in Thea Gilmore's band. Just two of the varied instruments I got to play over the years!
Great photo (as always) from Andy DArbyshire at last night's Spring Vibes gig in Sacred Trinity Church

Sad to hear of the passing of Janice Long, a true champion of music whether known or unknown to most. RIP Janice x
Today I've been working on some tracks for the next STEViE - One Bloke One Mandolin album. It has been quite a while since I got the chance to mess about with piano, baritone guitar and some BVs. And Protools! This is a great start to get me back into recording and I'm hoping it will lead to me writing and demo-ing some new solo material in the near future. Thanks for your patience while I have been off studying haha xx
And we're off.... after a lengthy hiatus I am returning to the gigging world! With a fundraiser for Trafford Cat Rescue at Jackson's Boat, which is the pub you can get to over the river from Chorlton Water Park. Also accessible by road :D expect a variety of musical entertainment for a worthy cause.
It's Bandcamp Friday today - no fees charged to the artist if you buy anything from my little corner of t'internet. Head over to https://traceybrowne.bandcamp.com/music for a peruse!

Last night I dusted off the microphone and recreated the vocals of 'Moody's Mood for Love' by Amy Winehouse for a karaoke backing track company. If you haven't heard it, please google and have a listen - then imagine my face on first listen!
I must say I nailed every chromatic note in the scale after a few goes and even managed to get all of the wordy bits out in time. Anyone who has recorded with me knows how good I am at editing 🤣
I think the melody was originally written as a sax solo and Amy's take on it is bloody genius. Wow x
Lockdown brought a sudden halt to all things back in March - pleased to say that some work is now coming back around. I've been commissioned for vocal work for an independent artist and even the karaoke companies are starting their engines back up again. I'll have to dust off the old Rode NT2 and update Protools 😁
Hello friends, this is a brand new (starting again) page as I left FB for a few months and the previous page is now consigned to the history servers. Since I'm not starting out completely I don't have to worry too much about the amount of 'likes' I have in order to get gigs/reviews and all that nonsense. It's just a nice, cosy place for us all to get together from time to time. It's good to see you xx
It's almost that time of year again... https://traceybrowne.bandcamp.com/track/bonfire-night
